Xander eyes the e-mail with fear, trepidation, and some other word that means fear, and so doesn't open it.

Xander nods firmly. Which... is not entirely a lie, but...yeah.

He runs one hand through his hair and tentatively pokes at the preview function on his e-mail reader, just to see if the opening lines are remotely safe.

Xander opens his mouth, and thinks very carefully. Really he should've learned by now that this is like 'measure twice cut once' in terms of getting the order right, but at least he doesn't actually say anything until he's thought.

"That there was date? Except actually she guessed that part because I mentioned being threatened with bodily harm, and, well, that tends to be a common feature on my dates."

"Huh - so that's the way they pronounce 'warped and evil' in the future?" It's possible Xander is grinning a bit himself, though.

"You've actually seen Willow, by the way," he points out, because now that his pulse is beating at a pace that's not likely to get him carted off to the clinic, he can process complex temporal concepts like 'things that happened last week.'
