The Art of Napping, Extreme Edition; Monday, Second Period [05/16].
After what felt like quite possibly the longest and most miserable week of his entire (after)life, Shunsui was more than ready for this class. Even after making up for plenty of lost naps in the meantime. Did naps really work like that? Probably not, but all that mattered was that he could nap, and he was going to nap so hard to make up for it.
So it worked out nicely, then, that he could also be napping for his job. That was kind of the whole point of this particular class, and, while trying his best to ignore the fact that last week had shaken him to his very core of believing he could sleep in any circumstances, no matter what, no matter where, he was ready to move on and zonk out some more.
"Hello, sleepy ducklings ♥," he greeted the class...or at the least those of them who remembered that they'd be meeting that the portalocity office for the remainder of their meetings. "I hope you're all ready to start your napping adventures in earnest, because today we'll be traveling to our first extreme napping location. I don't know about you all, but I can't think of a better way to out interdimensional time and space travel to use than this ♥. So follow me, if you will, although I will mention that if water and enclosed spaces make you a bit nervous, you might want to skip this one out ♥."
And with that, he would take the lead through the portal, which would whisk them off to the sundeck of the Underwater room at the Manta Resort off Pemba Island. "Now, if I'm not mistaken," he said, taking a moment to just sort of enjoy the view, "this place is actually still unfamiliar to most of you, though anyone on last semester's school trip will find it very familiar. Let's just say, I was rather inspired by the place ♥."
That, and just recycling a location from a school trip was just easier, especially when most of your class was new.
"Now this here would be a fine place to nap all its own," Shunsui explained, "but down below, there is a room submerged under the water where one might nap surrounded by the schools of ocean fish and the underwater beauty rarely witnessed by land-dwelling creatures such as ourselves ♥. And so...the choice is yours, though I do recommend the underwater room for a more extreme napping experience, and there are but two requirements: get comfortable, and get some sleep ♥."
His grin in response to that seemed a little strained, as if the horrors of the past week had still not quite left him.
"I'm sure we all could use a bit more of that right now, neh ♥?"
