Mythbusting- Monday- 3rd period

The Danger Shop workshop today had a whole clear area, and then a single solitary banana peel on the floor. Behind it, something that looked like a wrestling ring.

"Today's question is, can you slip on a banana peel like you can in cartoons?" Kitty asked. "So you're all going to walk onto a banana peel and see what happens."

Of course there would be more to this.

Belle, not operating under cartoon physics, did not slip on the banana peel. She just walked on it.

Kurt had to admit he was relieved because he wasn't sure walking around slipping and sliding was the best thing to be doing with his arm in a sling at the moment. He could HEAR Libby lecturing him already of he had ended up slipping and falling and hurting himself again!

...this was quite possibly the most disappointing day of Troy's life.

"Honestly?" he decided. "These banana peels must be broken."

That made way more sense than the idea that cartoons would lie to him.

Second experiment

With that one busted, Kitty flipped a switch and suddenly the wrestling ring was covered in banana peels.

"Maybe you had to step on it a certain way," Kitty said. "Or it's harder to do if you're expecting a slip. So make it from one end of this to the other. Maybe that'll work."

Another spoiler: it mostly would not. You might skid a little once or twice.

Belle, to the possible disappointment of others, still did not fall. Perhaps if she'd been wearing more impractical shoes today?

Third experiment

And then the ceiling opened up and dumped just a whole bunch of oil onto the wresting ring. And then more banana peels, till it was impossible to see the mat below for all the banana peels.

"All right, what if we add something that can be used as lubricant?" Don't snicker, class. "Try it again. Let's see."

This, of course, would be chaos.

It probably was necessary for the comedic effect. Belle, at least, had wiped out.
