Intro to Mechanical Engineering - Wednesday, 1st Period

“Good morning,” Goose began the session when everyone was seated, “for today’s class we’re going to look at Thermodynamics and how it relates to mechanical engineering,”

He began to start going through what Thermodynamics was and then a more detailed version of the different laws of Thermodynamics.

“For this week’s practical, I thought we’d look at making a steam powered rocket boat,” apparently there was a bit of a theme going on with these last few weeks, “and we’ll see how far we can get them to travel,”

Work on making your boats from a range of moddable supplies and then test them out in the containers o water that have been provided for the experiment.

Jo found this activity to be a bit more challenging but she eventually was able to make her boat and try it out on the water, even though she wasn't able to make it go very far in the end.
