Mythbusting- Monday- 3rd period

The Danger Shop workshop today let out into a huge open field. No grass, no trees, nothing as far as the eye could see.

"Today we're testing whether you can make a cannon out of non-dairy creamer. You know, the can of powder you pour into coffee instead of milk?" Kitty said. "There's video of someone making a fireball out of that, so we're going to see a) if it's true, and b) if so, what you can do to make your own fire out of it. Also, for the love of god, never do this one at home."

So spoiler, this was gonna be super true.

First experiment

They started over a table, where Kitty poured quite a bit of powdered creamer into a glass bowl and set a lighter to it.

"Nothing's happening this way," she said, trying several times to light it. "So now we're going to try by getting some air into the mix. We're going to pour creamer onto the flame and see what happens."

And so she set up the next part of it, which had her lighting a candle to tip so that it hung over the edge of the table, pouring creamer over it. That, yes, definitely did catch on fire as it was falling. Which looked cool but was also extremely dangerous.

Second experiment

"You've now seen how flammable this stuff really is, and how to light it. So you get to spend this class period making your own fire from it however you can. Because it's the Danger Shop, you can make whatever you want to help you here, including however much creamer you want to use, and again, only here, this only ever happens in here."

So have at it! What'd you make and what were the results?

Don't mind Troy, over there, apparently taking the phrase 'however much creamer you want to use' as some kind of personal challenge and mantra.

What? They had permission to light things on fire for class. He felt like that was the kind of thing you had to make the most of when you still could.

Belle was not going go overboard like some people (Troy, some people meant Troy) but she was considering the merits of explosives right now and wondering about how they might be utilized back home. Whether, for example, ogres might be susceptible to flaming powdered creamer.

So, yes, Belle was kind of working on some sort of non-dairy creamer based bomb. WHAT OF IT?

Kurt was debating the logistics of making some sort of river and trying to light it on fire and see what could be done. It could work... possibly. He probably just needed to use some more creamer. Right? Right!

This is both my favorite myth and the reason I have not put non-dairy creamer in anything since 2008.
