Nadia gets a lot of everything, all mixed together today, and liberally doses all of it with hot sauce.

The chef's invitation for folks to come to his house does not strike her as creepy. It is very, very sweet and she loves the chef a whole, whole lot.

Even when he goes TMI about not wearing pants and his relationship with Das Schnitzel.

"Sure you got enough hot sauce there?" Pip asked as he sat down in front of Nadia, lit cigarette in one hand and loaded down tray in another.

"Mm?" Nadia hmmed, since her mouth was full. Then she peered at her food, nodded very seriously, and added more hot sauce.

Mmmmmm hot sauce. She swallowed and smiled at Pip. "Hi! How are you?"

"Generous, apparently," Pip said. "I just gave my scarf away to a walking skeleton."

Nadia hadn't heard the announcement this morning about the walking skeleton, having been distracted by talking to Victor and then by making short work of a number of brownies. Still, she nodded sagely.

"That's very nice of you. It must be very cold to be a skeleton."

"Probably. It also wanted me to light a cigarette for it. I think it got it from Walter."

There was more nodding from Nadia, of the slow, slightly wide-eyed kind. "So, you think you're gonna go to prom?"

"Probably," Pip said. "I mean, it's like a huge school wide dance thing, right? Everyone's going." He shrugged. "I don't really understand what it's supposed to be, but why not?"

"Cool." Nadia was just clear-headed enough to realize that revealing her devious plot to one who was being deviously plotted against was not such a good idea. "Do you think you will have a date? Because I hear that dates are very important at proms."

"Are they?" Pip asked, taking a bite of a Belgian free. "Do they say why?"

Nadia blinked. "No. It's a mystery." Probably some archaic tradition passed down over the years until it meant little more than a way to torment the poor singletons even more often.

Not that she was going to tell him that.

"But dates are important."

Pippi enters the Caf and starts taking a little bit of everything.

Nadia nodded at Pip and noticed Pippi come in and waved at her a little frantically. "Yes. You should. We should all get dates. Who do you think you will ask?"

Yes. Very devious. She was quite proud of herself.

"Not sure yet," Pip said. "Alanna was looking for someone single at the Student Council meeting, maybe I'll ask her."

Hm. That wasn't the right answer. Nadia shrugged at Pip, then turned to greet Boone.

"No sadly, I'm afraid I don't." she said.

"So I'm given to understand from my research on the subject." she nodded at Pip as she munched on frees. "Myself, I think it's a ploy to sell flowers and dresses. A date would be nice I guess, but there's some contention on if I'm supposed to wait for somebody to ask me to go or if I do the asking."
