After getting the message from Parker, Angela rushed to the library, coffee and cinnamon-raisin bagel in hand.

She settled in behind the collections desk with beverage, baked good, and the All-Music Guide open on her borrowed laptop. She still had five birthday presents to buy...

The library is open.

She keeps getting distracted by reading about the many, many R.E.M. albums she missed.

Someone tell her not to buy Monster.

Now she's trying to decide what Aeryn might like. Something martial, maybe?

She has gotten bored with shopping and is .... actually studying for her sociology final.

Who knew?

And now she's trying that work stuff by reshelving some volumes. The top shelf of the bookcases is really high.

She sips at a microwaved cup of soup while finalizing her shopping list. The library is closed for everyone except aides.

Frantically cramming, she knows she should have paid more attention to the last few units in sociology. Dammit.

And now she's off taking the test. Wish her luck?

She is still preoccupied by trying to figure out how she did on the test as she cleans and straightens the library for the next day.

Cameron wandered in carrying the books the prior had taken from the library plus a brand new version of the bible. On top of his stack of books, there was a bag with chocolate eggs. "Yo, Angela."

"Yo," Angela returned. She nodded to the books. "Are those for us?"

Zero limped into the library. Her left wrist was taped up, and she had a bruise on one cheek. Stupid Mole Men. "Mornin'."

"Yep, those are all the books I found in my room that don't belong to me. Minus that bible he wrote in," he placed the books down on the desk. "I got a replacement for that."

Angela nodded. "Awesome." She flipped through the books that had been taken, putting them on the cart for reshelving, and gave the bible a longer look before also setting it aside. "I think you even got the same edition," she said. "I need to let Mr. Wagner know, but this should seriously be fine."

"Just ... you don't think he's coming back, do you? I mean, the person who wrote in it?"

"Morning," Angela said, a look of concern growing on her face. "What happened to you?"

Cameron swallowed and stared down at the book. "Not the way he did now. I think he used a stone I found a while ago, Molly destroyed it when they got me back."

Angela gave Cameron a searching look, then nodded. There didn't seem to be a lot to say.

She forced a smile. "Okay. So ... we're good. Oh, hey, did you or Molly win last night?"

Eager for the topic change, Cameron grinned and handed Angela the bag. "I won Molly's hat and those are the some of the remnants of the victorious army."

"Buncha boys landed on me. And then there were Mole People. Saturday was...not my day."

Rory would have wished Angela luck had she known.

In any case, she was there in the library with her iPod and her laptop, making some last minute shopping for prom accessories.

"Yay, victory!" She gave Cam a suspicious look. "They want to celebrate by being eaten, right?"

Of course, the first egg was in her mouth before the question was done. Poor brave chocolate egg.

"I was a doll," Angela offered. "So, not so much mine, either. But ... ouch. We have mole people now?"

"Not any more," Zero said darkly. "At least, not if they know what's good for 'em...a doll?"

"Uh huh," Cameron nodded seriously. "It was their specific wish to be eaten by you."

Angela nodded, eyes wide. "Leave it to me to get transformed into an inanimate object. It was really boring. But I went to the clinic yesterday and that guy Stark told me it was probably just a weird Fandom thing."

"What do mole men even look like?"

Angela took a second egg, and then: "Good. I live to please."

She tilted her head to look at Cam. "Molly's hat would look kind of silly on you, no offense."

"Dirty. And a little bit ratty. So you're all, like, better and not-dolly now? I mean, obviously, you're animate..."

He rolled his eyes. "I'm not going to wear it. It's a sort of bet thing. Now that I won last night's battle, it means that after every day she'll hand me the hat that she wore that day. When she finally runs out of hats, she'll go without hat for one week."

"I guess," Angela said, a little doubtfully. She rubbed a piece of hair between two fingers. "My hair doesn't feel like acrylic, y'know? So I think I'm all done being a doll. Which is good."

Angela looked surprised. "Can she even do that? I think the only time I ever saw Molly without her hat was when we went swimming, and even then she wore one until she got in the water."

"Yes. Very good. An' here I thought I had it bad when I was a kitten..."

"You were so cute," Angela said. "All pink and fluffy. Though it kind of sucked for you."

"I actually have no idea what doll-me looked like. I mean, I somehow knew that's what I was, but I couldn't see a mirror."

"She can, I apparently missed her hatless day due to..." He waved his hand around, hoping she'd get his drift. "She owes me a hatless day now. Or a week."

"I bet you were adorable as a doll," Zero teased her.

"Ah," Angela nodded at the handwaving. "I'm sure she'll look cute, once we're used to it."

Angela pouted. "Not as cute as a cuddly-wuddly kitten with pink fur."

"Yes, well," Zero smirked. "I excel at adorability."

"She looks nice without hat," Cameron replied. "Normal too. It's just fun teasing her about it. I don't think she'll let us get used to it, though."

Angela rolled her eyes. "You are so totally the little sister."

"How's Peter, by the way?"

"We'll see," Angela said. "I think it's too hot in the summer here to wear hats anyhow, if she doesn't go home." Angela played with a bit of hair meditatively. "Not that I know what I'm doing this sumemr yet."

"There is that, although I half expect her to have a hat with airco," he grinned.

"I don't know yet either," he shrugged and looked a bit reluctant. "I guess I should go home for a bit before summer camp starts. You?"

"I definitely want to go home for at least a little while," Angela said. "I dunno. I just generally feel like I need a vacation, but I'd miss you guys too much if I went home for four months."

"Even us 2nd floor inhabitants?" He teased and nodded. "I know what you mean. I miss home, but it's hard to imagine going back to four months of normalcy."

"Even you guys," she said with a sigh. "And yeah, you can't exactly explain demons or being a doll for a day to people back home. At least, not without, like, men in white coats coming after you." She frowned, "I never thougth everyday life would seem weird."

He grinned. "Fandom High has ruined us for normal life."
