There is candy and soda for the students, as well as herbal tea.

Dream waits for the students to assemble, then begins his lecture.

"Hello. Today we begin our study of the last animal language we will discuss this semester. It is one that may be perhaps closer to your own tongues than many of the others we have studied -- that of simians, especially monkeys."

Dream cues up a videotaped lecture in the DVD player. "This speaker makes the unfortunately common error of conflating monekys with apes, but it is still a reasonable discussion of the similarities and differences between the uses made of languages by simians, and those by man."

"I also have a handout containing a touch more information about monkeys, and a second handout about squirrel monkeys specifically, such as our own Mr. Nielson."

"Ask questions, should you have them."

Victor raised an eyebrow at his sheet. "I mean,"

"I guess they're almost the same," he concluded.

//Apples would hurt to throw ~~but so do green tomatoes~~. I like all the colors.//

//Really? That's a lot.//

Um... //Where do you get your fur color at?//

//I order it over the// Internet. //Or my sister sends it to me.//

//I wish I had fur sometimes. How many brothers and sisters do you have?//

//Fur,// Zero says, thinking of when she had actual fur, //Is not all it is made out to be. I have one sister and two brothers. Do you have any siblings?//

//No, only myself. I wish I had a brother. A sister would be okay, too. What do you like to do after learning time?//

"//I work on my sounds.// Er. Music."

//What sounds do you play?// Then, he remembered. "Oh, right! You're in a band! You guys rocked that dance you played at."

"Yeah, but they're--er--//Yes, but they are at home. I am here.// Punk. I play punk."

//Do you have a...//

Yeah, no way in the world did monkey have a word for compact disk. So, he tried using the individual letter sounds at the top of the sheet.

//c...d?//

Zero gave the squall up. "We have one, but I don't have any extra copies, an' I gave Peter my copy so he could put it on his iPod."

"No, it's cool. I'l probably swing by Empire today and pick one up. I kinda need to get out of my room today, anyway."

[ooc: I gotta get going, but thanks for the interaction. We rarely ever get to interact, and it was fun! Maybe next term they can teach Cat together or something. :)]

"Yeah, everything looks brighter once you get some fresh air. Just hanging around your room doesn't do yourself any favors." She blinked. "I swear that sentence had grammar."
