Anakin entered the auditorium--dramatically, of course--and swooped up to the stage. "There is a great deal of preparation involved in putting on a production," he began.

Or at least he had assumed so, based on all of the rehearsals he'd gone to for the holiday pageant. It wasn't like he was doing research to teach the class or anything, much to his wife's research-loving chagrin. "So this week for homework, I want you to memorize a poem--one at least a page long, no dirty limericks or haikus, please--and be prepared to present it to the class the next time we meet. As for today--" he pulled out a hat--"we are going to work on our improvisational skills. In this hat are scenes. I will read them out at random and when you get an idea, come to center stage and perform it."

So that would be a thing to watch. Like on that television show Anakin had been watching this week and stolen this from.

"Bad things to say to someone who's high," Anakin read. "Or gremlin-bit."

"Side effects you wouldn't want to hear in an ad for a medication--"

"Rejected Olympic events." Anakin looked around. "The Olympics are sporting events held in both the summer and winter."

Just in case that needed an explanation.

"Um. Turning yourself into a snowball when rolling down a slope," Kiem suggested.

"Phrases from children's books/tv shows followed by the phrase 'and then the murders began'," Anakin said, frowning at the paper. "This one should end well."

Kiem wasn't sure if children's books on Earth generally included murders, but he said what first came into his mind:

"The school was invaded by a flock of badgers."

It made more sense if you knew that badgers on Iskat had scales and could bit your arm off.

Guillermo wasn't sure why the first thing he thought of was meta for Dr. Seuss but well it was improv and he decided to just go with it.

“Oh, the places you’ll go! There is fun to be done! There are points to be scored. There are games to be won." there was a pause and, "and then the murders began,"

Okay so it didn't quite rhyme with the rest of the phrase but he didn't think the rhyming was that important here.

"And finally, 'Odd things for a talking doll to say,'" Anakin said. "And I disavow responsibility if this means we get invaded by talking dolls."

Kiem's mind was still on the badgers, so he blurted out:

"Please bite my arms off."

That was a terrible thing to say.

"No, I mean, that's odd, but also... creepy."
