Wilderness Survival; Thursday, Second Period [01/20].

As much as Gladio would have preferred to not have to use the danger shop as much for this class and actually be out there in the real wilderness, he knew there were just some things he couldn't depend on the weather for, and, this week, that meant needing much more snow than what was currently available on the island. So messages had been sent out previously to let everyone know they'd be meeting in the Danger Shop that week, where they'd find themselves on a chilly mountainside that clearly did not have a not enough snow problem.

It did, however, have the problem that the teacher, when he got there, was ten years old.

Which is how all lesson plans went right out the window, wee Gladio got a big grin on his face, and shouted out, "SNOWBALL FIIIIIIIIIIGHT!"

Swooped down to pick up a fistful of snow, ball it up tightly, and throw it mercilessly at whichever older kid was nearest to him, and then he dashed away to dive behind a protective snowbank that was now clearly his Base of Operations.

Like he was going to let a whole bunch of girls (and presumably one mountain lion? Especially that mountain lion!) beat him in a snowball fight!

...or maybe not?

Because while ten-year-old Gladio had gotten the battle started with aplomb and had started amassing an arsenal of snowballs to throw at the girls from behind his snowbank, he...all of a sudden wasn't ten years old, anymore. In fact, he'd gained about twelve years and a book, and so he was just going to be there behind the snow bank, chilling and getting some light reading in instead.

So, yeah, we'll see how that goes.

Alara was not dressed appropriately for a snowball fight at all and she blinked a lot since this hadn't been what she'd worn to class originally. She did have enough sense to know what clothes were weather appropriate.

She was going to blame her dress as to why she shrieked when the snowball hit her, she really wasn't a fan of the cold and the sleeveless dress she was suddenly wearing ...

Still she couldn't help but smile despite everything ... it was all rather absurd that she was in the middle of a snowball fight in a dress.

Astrid was clearly not amused by these snowball shenanigans. She usually didn't really mind the snow, either, as much as she complained about her California blood needing warmer temperatures, but there was just something about some punk kid just throwing snowballs at her that did not warm her up to the idea, and she lifted her chin, looking very much like she was not going to engage in any of this. She did not appreciate this.
