Bakineering - Wednesday - 4th Period

The danger shop was still set up as half a bakery and half an engineering lab, but this time, there was a little thunderdome set up in the middle.

"It's robot time!" Tony said gleefully. "And no, not the ones we've provided you."

"You're going to make robots that fight each other!" Steve said. "Tony's gonna show the basic internal stuff and then you cover them with food and make them fight to the death!"

They were too excited about this.

"It'll be fun, we swear," Tony said before launching into another far, far too excited and handwavily in depth explanation of how to craft a variety of body types for a robot that could survive the Thunder Dome there. He could keep going here, folks, he really could.

But it was eating into their time to build the things, so Steve gradually interrupted Tony, despite how much he enjoyed watching Tony geek out. "Inside your battlebots, you need to make a cookie. That cookie cannot be smushed by the end of the battle."

"Your helpers from last week are here again, but they are not to be used in the fighting ring." Tony would give you all sad looks and then Steve would give disappointed looks and it would just be a thing. "But you can also team up with your classmates if you want."

Vi's fighting bot, covered in a similar overcooked flatbread as last week's boat, lurched about in a similar drunken manner. It was however a much zippier drunken lurching. By some miracle her cookie was still unbroken by the end.

Mostly because it was undercooked to the point of still being raw dough.

Troy's battle bot was covered in cheese. But, like, just a bunch of those plastic-wrapped cheese slices that he'd hastily slapped onto it, and the only reason it still had some on its by the end was because he'd put them on in layers.

Turns out, layers of cheap processed cheese made for a surprisingly effective armor to protect cookies! Which he was very glad about, because he was looking forward to eating that cookie afterwards if they'd let him.

Of course, that would be when Troy would discover that he was not as good at making cookies as he was as building robots, especially with help.

Guillermo decided to try covering his bot in chocolate and see if it worked better with the bot than it did with the boat.

He just really wanted to try and build something with chocolate that worked.

In the end though, Guillermo’s chocolate shell wasn’t enough to protect the cookie and it broke.
