Living with Trauma, Tuesday 1/11, 3rd Period
“I missed last week,” Stark said. “I’m sorry.” That complete lack of explanation was the only explanation he was going to offer. “I’m here now.”
“So,” he continued, starting to pace at the front of the room, “since it’s our first class even if it’s the second week we can do introductions.”
“I’m Stark, for those who don’t know me. Not Tony, he has another class, just Stark. I’m here, we’re all here, to talk about trauma. Or not talk about it. Sometimes that’s easier. Not always better, but sometimes easier. And sometimes making things a little easier is all you can do. Sometimes you can’t do that much. It helps to try, at least. Usually.”
“If you like, you can tell us all why you’re here. Or what you want from this class. Or you can just say who you are. I’m not going to pry. If you want to talk when you’re here you can talk. If you want to listen and never talk, that's fine. Sometimes I don’t talk at all for long stretches.” Sometimes he talked non-stop. It all depended on the situation.
“I’m Stark, as I said. A Banik, not from Earth. I am…very familiar with trauma. Grief. Loss.” Too familiar, really. “And I’d like to help you all. If I can. Who wants to start?”

Just saying who you are is fine. Stark's really not going to pry unless he thinks he has to.
Oh. And there's snacks in the back of the room. There are always snacks in the back of the room.

"Oh!" she said. "Hello! I'm Liberty Hazlett, but you can just call me Libby, if you want, that's what nearly everyone calls me. And I'm here on a study program with the Fandom Clinic, and I've been particularly excited about this class, because I think it's easily going to be the most helpful to me if I'm going to be a nurse. I can only imagine the kind of trauma medical professionals have to encounter on a daily basis, and, while I really hope I won't have to much, I know that's probably not how it'll go, so I'd better be as best equipped as I can, don't you think?"
Also, she was physically incapable of just saying who she was, really.

“I…I’m Josephine Jones, I go by Jo,” she said quietly, “I’m a freshman and I’m from South West England, 1953…um,” she hesitated again, “I had a lot of bad things happen at my last school,” she said quietly, the only person she had talked about Malory Towers with was Jon and the idea of sharing all of that with a class seemed terrifying, “I…” her voice trailed off and she fidgeted nervously.

Okay the pool incident hadn't been her fault but everything leading up to her getting expelled? That had most definitely been her fault because she had made the mistake of listening to her father's advice.
