Mythbusting- Monday- 3rd period

Class was back in the Danger Shop warehouse today, but Kitty was handing out brightly colored ponchos as the students walked in. There was a table set up with soda bottles, and behind that... well, they'd get to that.

"Welcome to the Danger Shop, where you can't get hurt but you presumably can get messy," she greeted them. "We're starting with a common myth: if you pair Coke and Mentos, it'll explode. The thought is that the candy produces carbon dioxide, which reacts with the carbonation bubbles, causing an explosion. Pretty simple.

"This week you're going to put Mentos in Coke. Or, I have other carbonated beverages you can try, and you can see if there's any difference. And once you're done with that, we've got more."

It wasn't Pop Rocks and soda, but Mentos and soda worked just fine, so Troy was stoked as hell and looking like all his wildest dreams were just about to come true...

He was, honestly, a little disappointed that it wasn't more, but it was still pretty cool, and he was definitely ready to give it another try.

"Next time," he decided, "I wanna add some glitter."

Because it wasn't messy and sticky enough, apparently!

This was reminding him of some of the messes he had seen in the mess hall at the high school when a food fight would break out. There was stick soda foam everywhere!"

"Ummm.... does the Danger Shop automatically clean US up too or just the room?"

If it was just the room, Kurt would be making a B-line for the showers as soon as he got back to the dorms!

The poncho should have been a warning sign but Belle really didn't know better. She'd never heard about Mentos and soda before today.

She was very grateful for the poncho after a few minutes. Very grateful.
