There had actually been a really great lesson planned for that day, and maybe it was because they'd been trying to avoid the Danger Shop because of the whole chocobo problem, or what, but it seemed that the Danger Shop had a very, very different idea of what the class would be doing that day.

Well thought-out, complex team building exercises that would enrich everyone's experience and get the class to grow together as a group?

Nope! Sorry! You just got a room full of chocobos. And it somehow just kept filling with chocobos. To the point where even Prompto had to admit that this was waaaaay too many chocobos.

And since Gladio was the one that could be seen the easiest over the heads of all these crowding giant riding birds, he was going to go ahead and call out to the students as they came in, "Hey, guys! As you can see, the Danger Shop seems to be back on its choco-glitch bullshit! Prompto is...trying to make his way to the controls to figure out how to cull them back a little bit, Ignis is working on something with some gyshal greens to lure them somewhere where we might actually have some room, but....it's not promising! So that's what we're doing today! Get on in here and see if you can figure out exactly where all these chocobos might be coming from, what we can do to get them under control, or anything else that might be helpful! It's not every day you'll be stuffed into a room with too many chocobos, but, hey, if you ever are? Maybe we'll all learn something here that'll be helpful!"

In a way, maybe, it still could be a very helpful team building experience, right?

Drowning in chocobos!

Thank goodness Gladio is as tall as he is, so that he could at least let the students know they were there in the room somewhere, although a part of him did sort of wonder if they should have gone with Prompto's suggestion of just pretending they weren't there at all, and talking like they were chocobos.

But that would just be silly...

So. Many. Chocobos!

You couldn't really even take a step without walking into a bunch of feathers or a beak, but, hey, at least they were all friendly and didn't seem to mind being bumped into too much? Definitely watch out for random bursts of wing flapping and feather rustling, and try to figure out just...what to even do, among all these chocobos! Are you trying to locate one of the teachers to help? Just enjoying some chocosnuggles? Maybe mounting one will help?

Also just leaving is an option. There's a good chance that, in all the choco-chaos, the teachers might not even notice!

Although you will have to find them first...

Gladio, naturally, would be the easiest to find, standing a little taller than even the tallest chocobo, and it's a bit easier to wade through the birds if he hears anyone in a little bit of choco-distress or trouble along the way.

Prompto was trying to make it to the controls to fix this, but the chocobos were not making it easier for him and he at one point definitely got stampeded and was now lying on the floor, thinking that a chocobo pile was not as nice as a puppy pile, no matter how much he loved chocobos, and it would just figure, wouldn't it, that he has a ~~presumably still~~ good date for a change, only to be crushed to death by his beloved chocobos the very next day....

....except, you know, Danger Shop, so no actual being crushed to death, but just let him have his dramatic moment, okay?

While Ignis was managing to make some headway toward the door with the use of some gyshal greens for the chocobos, he was quickly running out of them and with the way the danger shop was misfiring, he was pretty sure that if he tried to get more of the greens, then it would only result in more chocobos instead.

It was, truly, a conundrum.
