The Art of Battle Tactics; Monday, First Period [09/20].

"Good morning, ducklings ♥." It was yet another far-too-early Monday morning in the classroom with all the desks shoved aside to make way for pillows and tea, and Shunsui doing his sleepy best, pouring his own tea as he waited for the students to get settled and comfortable as they were hopefully now quite used to for this class, and then passing the pot along to whichever student might be looking to indulge themselves next. "So far in this class, we've dabbled briefly in a particular scenario where one might attempt to avoid a confrontation on a smaller scale, and we will, slowly but surely, march our way to exploring tactics in bigger conflicts, and, more particularly, how to reduce or even avoid the damage done in such situations. But before we can know how to be more efficient in knowing how to approach our battles, we must consider why we fight them in the first place.

"There are, of course, many reasons why some may choose to fight. When it comes to war, it is most often a matter of power or territory. Some fight for freedom; others fight to oppress. A great many wars have been fought for hatred; some have even been fought for love ♥." He took a thoughtful sip of his tea. "Whether or not any of these are good reasons to fight is a matter I'm sure could spark much debate; perhaps that in itself could lead to quite the battle....a battle we may or may not be having today in this very class, because that is what I would like to discuss with you all today, ducklings ♥. Before we can start looking at what tactics we can use in battle, we must first know why the battle is being fought in the first place ♥.

"Tell me, then: what is it that you find worth fighting for? What is something you find absurd to fight for? Why? And why not? Has there been anything you've encountered that you find to be particularly noble, or have you exampeles of a battle you can only consider pointless? Let us explore all the different angles and approaches one may have, so that when it comes time to determine why our enemies fight for what they fight for, we may better understand them, because with that understanding may be the exact tactic you need."

Another sip of his tea, and he passed his lazy smile around the circle. "Who's got something to get us started ♥?"
