Music 201 - April 13, 2006 - Period 7 - Class #25

This week the class is back in the music classroom. It's Krazy Taco week again and there are assorted bits of Mexican food around the place for your culinary pleasure.

"Afternoon dudes! Before we start, I have an announcement. We're totally going on a field trip in the last week! Most unfortunate, but you're not gonna miss any of your other classes. It's on April 28 - that's a Friday - and we'll leave during normal class time. Now dudes, this is a special field trip. We're gonna be travelling through space and TIME with the help of my most excellent friend, Rufus, to visit some moments of musical significance. So if you have any ideas about places or times you'd like to visit, let me know after class. Anyway.

Short class today. We're gonna watch some cartoons. Listen to how the music totally gives away what's going to happen next. If only real life had background music, dudes. Watch the cartoon and then talk about what you'd do if you had background or 'danger' music in your life to tell you how things were."

Angela watched the cartoons and laughed in the right places.

When they were over, she said, "I think it would be kind of weird to have music following you around all the time. Like, you could just avoid stuff when the music got scary, you know?"
