Goose showed up to his first engineering class, still without wearing shoes and still unaware of any noticeable changes, “Uh, er …………….hello.” he began, nodding to his students and apparently not noticing his sudden fondness of dramatic pauses in his sentences, “my name is ………………Shane Gooseman.” he revealed, “Most people call me ………………..Goose.” this was going to take a while. “I used to be a …………..student here. Class of ………………2014.”

“I’m from the year ……………………..2106 and I’m based in West Australia.” he went on, “I’m here on ………………..temporary reassignment. I am normally ……………………. assigned to the Series 5 Galaxy Rangers team back home. My speciality is ……………machinery and fixing machines. Hence ……………this class.” he waved around the room to indicate the class.

“This is ……………… Introduction To Engineering and I’ll be your teacher this semester.” that part was kind of obvious, “When I ………………..was a student is was common for the first week to be introductions. So I’d like …………….to know your name, what year it for you at home and what experience you have with engineering.”

Or wonder what's going on with all the pausing and if it's going to end any time soon.

Name, what year you come from and what experience you have with engineering.

Alara hadn’t been planning on taking engineering, she had thought at the last moment that it would probably be better if she had something that sounded like she was taking her studies seriously and if her parents asked she could at least say she was taking an introduction to engineering course. Hopefully they wouldn’t ask what other subjects she was studying this semester, “I’m Alara Kitan,” she said, “I’m from the year 2410 and I come from a planet called Xelaya, I’ll be a Sophomore this year and I don’t have any experience with engineering,”

“Welcome.........Alara.” Goose nodded, “I’ve never heard of ............Xelaya. I hope you’ll still find............ learning about Earth based engineering interesting.”

One thing Jo hadn’t realised was that she had so many male teachers this semester, after coming from a school where there was only one. It felt weird but this was apparently going to be the norm for the semester. Jo glanced around the room and felt rather left out that so many were from so far in the future, “My name is Josephine Jones, Mr. Gooseman” she said at last when it was her turn because she was not going to be calling a teacher by his first name, nope, “I go by Jo though,” she added, “I’m a freshman and I’m from 1952 South-West England, and I’ve never studied engineering before”

Ok, ‘Mr. Gooseman’ was weird but he could manage this, “very well ................….Jo.” he nodded, “welcome to the class …………………. this is designed for people who don’t have any experience with engineering so we’ll be going in depth to the basics.”

Oh, man, if this was how this guy talked all the time, this class was going to be rough. Troy couldn't handle that many dramatic pauses all at once, it was kind of overload!

But at least this part he could handle!

"I'm Troy," he said, "Troy Barnes. Also T-Bone, also the Disco Spider, also also Butt Soup."

Yes, that was a lot of nicknames and he was proud of all of them.

"I'm from 2005, and, I don't know, I've taken some shop classes? And I do maintenence on a lot of the stuff at my job?"

He also had an innate talent for fixing virtually anything, but he had not yet realized the true capacity of said powers.

And, no, that was an actual thing, that wasn't one of those Chaos Drink side-effects y'all were dealing with right now.

“Hello……………….Troy,” sorry Troy, it was going to be a while before Goose went back to speaking normally, “do you have …………….a preferred nickname to go by?” this was the person who chose to go by Goose after all, he thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask.

Troy shook his head a little, shrugged his shoulder. "They're all good, man," he assured the Goose guy with the speech patterns that were definitely going to test Troy's patient. "Whichever one you feel fits the mood, you know?"

He'd even be open to a new one, if Goose felt so inclined! He was kind of collecting them a little, at this point, really.

He's there and still without shoes.

It's been a while since I last posted a class in here :)
