Honestly, thank god for a small class, because Kitty had been trying for two days to appeal to the moose to no avail, and so she was slightly underprepared for a class.

Also thank god for introduction week.

"Hi, and welcome to Cupcake Skirmishes," Kitty greeted everyone once they'd gotten to the home ec room. "I'm Kitty Pryde-Barton and if you're surprised to see me teaching this, join the club. I'm not much of a baker, and from what I can understand this is Cupcake Wars in class form and I have watched a lot of that, so you're going to get to make and decorate your own cupcakes.

"Starting next week. Today I want to find out who you are and why you're taking this class, and then we're going to talk about flavors some."

"All right, two prompts for you," Kitty told them. "I want to know your favorite combination of flavors, like if you're really into chocolate and marshmallow, or whatever. I also want to know the worst possible combo you can think of."

“I think strawberry and lemon go together quite well,” Terra said. “As for the worst possible combination… honestly, just about anything savory would make a terrible cupcake, in my opinion, but if I had to pick, I think pickles and peanut butter would be pretty up there.”
