The Art of Battle Games - Tuesday, Third Period [08/03].
The hopes that some other new random event that made it rather difficult for the class to meet again that week were unfortunately dashed at it appeared to be a very normal Tuesday, and the only thing that prevented Shunsui from trying to create some sort of other excuse to not bother was that it would probably take more work to orchestrate such a thing than it did to just drag himself over to the school and the danger shop and get something going that he could just instruct his students to do and then hang back and let them have at it.
Really, it wasn't that much different than how training for his division usually went, and so there they were, another week, and another battle game, and Shunsui gave them a soft smile and considered, for a moment, the lighting overhead before returning his attention to them.
"Konnichiwa, ducklings ♥," he greeted. "This week, we'll be exploring a game called Kageoni, or 'Shadow Demon' ♥. Now....the proper manipulation of shadows is actually a very complex art that is a little difficult to teach, or even program," it probably wasn't that difficult to program it, he just didn't want to bother, "so it won't be too terribly complex today, but, with this technique, when one person is able to 'catch' another person's shadow by stepping into it, they gain an advantage, as stepping into that person's shadow will effectively freeze them, leaving them open to attack. They, of course, can still defend themselves, but they cannot move and the other person has the ability to cloak themselves in the shadow if they so choose.
"Now," he grinned a little more, his finger pointing upwards, "one thing about shadow games is that they are heavily dependent on lighting, neh ♥? So just to make things a bit more interesting, the lighting in here will shift and change at random, which may drastically alter how substantial the shadows are, which could be used to your advantage or be used against you. You'll have to be aware of how the lighting changes your shadows to make you...or your opponants...more vulnerable ♥.
"Take a moment, choose your weapons, find a spot, and we shall begin ♥."
