"Look at that! Paintball in person again, folks!

The whole set up wasn't too different from the last semester, but this time around, they were ramping up the difficulty from the jump with less cover than normal.

"Glad to see some returning faces," Tony said with a smile. "Hopefully people won't be as... competitive." Nuts. He meant nuts.

Steve gave him a slightly pitying look at that bit of misplaced optimism. "But we realize you might have some excess...energy...to get rid of this week. So we've provided balloons and paintball guns. Please don't actually injure each other?"

Tony gave certain students A Look for that. Because he believed in you, okay? He believed in you not injuring each other here.

"Five," Steve added because subtlety was not in him. He clapped his hands together. "Okay let's have some good, clean fun!"

Literally none of those things would happen.

Anakin had a gun and a bunch of paint balloons floating along behind him and he was assessing all of the new people in the class to learn their strengths and weaknesses. And while doing all of that, he was keeping an eye out for Stark.

Stark had one goal today. That goal was shooting Anakin. Or maybe hitting him with a paint balloon. Possibly both, just because he could.

He'd found what he hoped was a decent spot to take cover that didn't leave his right side too exposed. And then he waited.

Anakin was doing okay, today! He was moving quickly, watching others as they were shot and trying not to stay in one place too long, but he did have to pause to reload.

He hadn't looked for Stark in a while, either, which was definitely an error.

Anakin, you should know better by now!

Maybe you should have thought this through. Or not had all those balloons floating behind you making you an even better target. Because Stark was aiming right for those balloons and hoping for some serious splattering to occur.

And there was a stream of Huttese curses as all of those balloons exploded down Anakin's back.

And there was Stark, standing up and smiling more widely than he had in quite some time.

"Better luck next week?" He did not really mean that, no.

Was he going to regret doing this by this evening? Maybe.

Steve was ready to shoot the heck out of some stuff. He was entirely too excited for it.

A safe, if very messy, outlet for aggression seemed like exactly what Stark needed.

Mostly he just wanted to hit Anakin. Hopefully while Faye was watching shhh
