"Wine" Tasting and Drinking Games

Anyone showing up for class today would notice some ominous bottles filled with clear greenish liquid sitting on the bar.

"So. Today's wine choice is absinthe," Jessica began. "And yeah, I know. It's not wine. Whatever. We're fucking drinking it."

She pulled off the cap and started to pour a glass for everyone. "The taste profile is that shitty black jelly bean you accidentally ate with a hint of dusty herbs that someone keeps in their pantry but only break it out during thanksgiving dinner so they don't really taste like they should."

"Oh and supposedly it's supposed to make you hallucinate but I guess that's a bullshit urban myth. So if you start seeing fairies or whatever then they're probably real. As for tonight's drinking game we're all going to pretend we're at some teenager sleepover and play truth or dare."

Because the combination of absinthe and truth and dare is a chemical reaction that Jessica wanted to see happen.

"Let's start shall we?"

"I dare you to get up there and sing something," Faye said, pointing to the stage. "Something by Justin Bieber."

Aw yeah, she'd overheard that whole conversation about Travis and his top-played song.

"When has that ever stopped anyone at karaoke?" Faye challenged, pulling out her phone. "Oh, look, here. 'Justin Bieber Lyric Database.'"

She offered her phone out with a smile. "Here you go. Shouldn't be a problem now!"

Well, Nick had been ruined.

So he was trying to watch Jessica, but like, watching through a little window he made with his hands to block out the existential crisis playing onstage.
