The class was meeting in the danger shop again that week, although the set-up was pretty basic, almost boring, really, when they got started. Prompto, however, was clearly excited, with that particular eager energy that made it difficult for him to stand still as he waited for everyone to get there. It didn't help that his brain was definitely on Party Prep Mode for Saturday, but today's class should be a good distraction.

"Hey, everyone! Guess what! It's the time you've all bee waiting for!"

Well, the time one person had been waiting for, he imagined, since she'd mentioned it at some point, but still!

"It's Selfie Day!"

Okay, two people, because Prompto had definitely been looking forward to this day, too.

"Now," he continued, "if you ask me, the selfie gets a bad rap. A lot of really great pictures can be selfies! Like, not a whole lot of other photography styles really can capture the essence and energy of a moment on a deeply personal level like a selfie can, right? And there's deifnitely an art to it, so today, we're going to go over some of the tips and tricks for the perfect selfie! And then, we'll get to practice and try putting these skills in effect. Sound good? Okay, so, let's get started with the first rule of Selfie Stardom, and that is tilt something..."

Prompto was going to have so many new selfies on his phone from just lecturing and demonstrating alone!

A chalkboard has shown up so that Prompto can jot the tips and tricks and skills down on the board as he talks about them, but most of it is going to go into demonstrating and encouraging everyone to try them as he goes through everything from position to lighting, the importance of backgrounds, knowing your best angles (as well as some time spent to go over some ideas and suggestions for interesting and effective poses), and, most important, a good smile! And the best way to have a good smile is just to have fun with it, because then your natural smile will just shine through!

Yes, he actually said that.

Whaaaatt? It was true!!

Elli didn't want to interrupt him or anything but...

Um...

She tentatively raised her hand.

It was a class! It would be kind of silly if you couldn't interrupt with questions! But you'd hopefully forgive Prompto a little if his enthusiasm meant he didn't necessarily notice your lifted hand right away, Elli.

But he was totally on it the moment he did.

"Oh! Elli!" The grin was just as much for her as it was the novelty of calling on a student. "You have a question?"

"Okay, so," Prompto's grin brightened because now they were getting to the good stuff, "you probably remember, one of the things I said just a bit ago there was that background was an important thing to consider when getting the most primo of self-shots, right? So what I have here today," he gestured toward a table with what looked like a photo album on it, "is a catalogue of the top 20 selfie spots in the world---this world, anyway. It was way easier to get the programming for this world than to start branching out into others, although those would make some pretty sweet selfies, too, but this was pretty much already in the system, and I'm planning my sister's birthday party right now, so we'll just work with it!

"Anyway," he chuckled away his littel tanget, "we're each going to pick out a destination, and then we'll all work on getting some sick shots and putting to use the tips and tricks and we'll come out of class today with some great pictures of amazing locations so that when you actually go there," even if you've already been, Tahani!, "you'll already know exactly what to do!"

She had been consulted for that list, thank you!

"I haven't been to the one in Norway," Tahani admitted, "and I'm not sure I could muster the courage to stand on that rock in the middle of nowhere. I don't to end up on TMZ for dying stupidly."

Heh.

"It does sound pretty dangerous," Prompto admitted, now considering the list with a dubious sort of frown. One that disappeared pretty quickly, though. "But! That's the beauty of doing it here in the danger shop instead! No stupid deaths allowed! If you ever wanted to try a little X-treme," yes, you could practically hear that it was X and not Ex-, "selfies, now is totally the time!"

"Oooooooooh," Tahani said, clapping her hands gleefully. "Let's do it, then!"

He'll happily take some selfies with you for extra practice!

It was still a selfie if there were other people in it, you know! Because you took it yourself!!

I'm actually surprised Prompto doesn't have more selfie icons...
