The weather was a bit dreary with the threat of rain that day, but Sidon was hardly about to let something like rain spoil his plans for his class!

Thunderstorms, now that was a different story entirely, but just rain? It rained in Zora's Domain more than it didn't, really, so this just put him even more at his natural and more comfortable state. Besides, it's not like they weren't going to be getting wet, anyway!

"Hello, everyone!" he bellowed excitedly when everyone arrived at the beach again for another thriling class. "I hope you've all had a fabulous week! I know I have! And it's about to get even better because we're about to embark on some more amazing aquatic arts! More specifically, today is aquatic games, which will be a fun way to bolster our swimming abilities! I'll explain the games a little more as we get started, but first? Let's stretch!"

Stretching was very important! And he felt it gave everyone the chance to really get pumped for class!

"And then everyobody into the water!"

Get those bodies and limbs all lean and limber, chat it up a little as you do so, or if you'd like Sidon to go over any swimming things (or anything at all, really!), he'll be more than happy to help!

Duke did some basic stretches, trying to work out some of the tension he'd started carrying since Dwight got to town.

Or since Octavia turned into a raccoon.

Or since -- ever, honestly.

It was a lot to ask from basic stretches, but hey, you did what you had to do.

Nina was still a bit grumpy about the lack of anything other than pop tarts for food this morning but, like, going through the stretches and knowing there were games to win meant by the time she was ready to get into the water... she was in a better mood.

"Our first game," Sidon explained, once everyone was warmed up and ready to go in the water, "is one that is incredibly popular with little Zora hatchlings called Zora Zora! Which means that it is not only a great deal of fun, but it is also nice and simple. Essentially, one person is chosen to be 'It.' That person must close their eyes....and keep them closed!...and counts to ten. Meanwhile, the others will scatter, and when the count is us, the person designated as your fearless Seeker shall try to find them. While they must keep their eyes closed until they manage to snag someone, they can use audio cues by shouting out," and here Sidon filled up his chest so that his shout could be very bold and impressive, "'ZORA!' And the others must respond back with a hearty 'ZORA!' in kind, and the person who is It can then use those shouts to guide their search!

"It's not quite echo-location, but it's the closest thing we've got! Any volunteers to be our first Seeker?"

So, yeah, it's basically a Hyrule version of Marco Polo, because Sidon doesn't even know who TF that is.

Everyone can have a turn at being It if they want, just start a thread with your person being It, and everyone else can go from there!

"Sure, alright," Duke said, closing his eyes. "Let's do this."

He counted slowly to ten, rolling his head on his neck and swinging his arms, then let out a nice loud "ZORA!" to get the game started.

"Zora?" Clara called back, sounding confused.

Sounding confused didn't stop Duke from following that sound, arms out. "Zora!" he called again.

"Eep!" Clara flailed, trying to swim away. "I mean Zora!"

Nice try, Clare, but Duke was a hell of a swimmer. He was after you after the first 'eep', much less the rest of your sentence. "Zora!" he called again, triumphantly, as he reached for where he was pretty sure she had to be.

"Dammit," Clare muttered as he found her. "You're half mermaid in the water. Merman? Merperson?"

". . . If I'm half a half-fish, does that mean that only one leg has fins?" Duke wondered. "You're it, kid."

Clare sighed heavily and closed her eyes. "One, two--"

Here is where the teams come in!

Once everyone's got their spirits and energy up from Zora Zora, it's time to split up into teams and bring out some goal nets and a bright yellow ball, because it's water polo!

Or at least a very light version of it where there aren't many people and it's pretty much just two teams trying to swim around and get the ball in their goals more than the other team, a description of the game that Sidon has given them in no small terms, at all, and includes a significant preamble about the thrill and exitement of racing through the water with the goal in mind and the sheer, pure elation that comes with the victory of a successful goal!

And whatever may happen, the coin flip tells me that Team 2 is victorious in the end!

Duke was much too busy being amused by Sidon's enthusiasm to really process any of the rules.

Whatever, swim with a ball. He could do that easy.

Who may be wonderingn if there might need to be an eventual polo rematch that involves a trip to the Domain to pit his students against his subjects! That would be...

...terribly balanced and unfair, but, oh, wouldn't it also be so much fun???
