"Change of plans," Rita said without looking up from her paper. "Your projects will be due the third of May. I want your interview subjects and any information on where you might be going on my desk no later than a week from today."

She turned a page. "So, work on those things today. Think about questions. Basically, stay quiet."

Chloe settled in her seat and tried to work, but it was hard to not be distracted by Anakin.

"Nice outfit," she said. "Is today a Mexican holiday I forgot about?"

"Lost a bet?" Anakin tried.

"Don't lie to Chloe," Rory said, frowning at him.

Anakin sighed. "Punishment-for-fighting-with-Angel," he muttered to his desk.

Chloe snickered. "It's amazing how effective public humiliation can be." She grinned at Rory. "Whose idea was this?"

"Parker's," Rory said with a grin. "I think the hat is the best part, don't you?"

"I don't know," Chloe teased. "I think the mask brings out the color in his eyes."

At the beginning of that statament, from somewhere in the ceiling, a bucket of slime dumped inexplicably onto Chloe's head.

"..."

"Go clean up," Rita said, waving her wand and making the mess on the floor and Chloe's desk disappear.

Chloe grumbled, but was more than happy to go and try to get clean.
