Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

As was usually the case with these things, good weather was once more blessing the gathering of Fandom folk new and old. There was a bonfire, but it was mostly for decoration. And for s'mores, the makings of which were available at one of the nearby tables.

There was plenty of food, and there were tables and chairs set up all across the lawn (with light dustings of glitter where you least suspected it, naturally), and everything was ready for another welcome picnic!

[OCD up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

It was almost like he knew her, or something, as Rosa's eyes innocently wandered back to Miguel after not at all considering the big chunk of muscly red shark boy and debating on whether or not making Sidon cry was worth the experience of actually having to interact with Sidon.

"Yeahhhh," she allowed, almost reluctantly. "And then you'd have to deal with...you know...people crying."

Which was gross and obnoxious.

Rosa scoffed faintly. "What kind of superhero hides behind his girlfriend?"

"The sensible kind that doesn't deal with crying people," Miguel shot back. "I never know what to do with them."

"Oh, what?" asked Rosa. "Like I do?"

Besides looking at them weird and calling them wusses, anyway.

"New plan," she offered, cocking her head toward the picnic in general. "If I make any newbies cry," or oldbies, for that matter, "we both go and just hide behind Kitty."

She seemed like she'd be good at that sort of thing, right?

"Or just leave 'em there to wallow in their own tears."

Actually, that one sounded pretty good.
