If she's that upset, expell him. Send him to the principal for discipline. Attempting to stir people up authority figures against a student with what appears to be an illicit recording smacks to me of illegality at worst, and a complete lack of professional ethics at best.

This is an outright abuse of power and an attempt to go around the system and it disgusts me. People who have authority are supposed to use it to protect. Instead of attempting to protect the student(s) in question, she is chivvying a lynch mob.

I find that interesting behaviour in someone who supposedly upholds the law. No wonder she's no longer employed there.

I’ve listened to this cassette recording and while I am concerned about the behavior involved, why was it necessary to distribute this to the staff? Why have you not gone to the proper authorities, in this case,

principalconnor and sought to have the young man expelled?

This smacks of rallying the mob and not taking the proper course of action to ensure the safety of a student.

I also call into question the wisdom of distributing cassettes to the staff, knowing how the current student body tends towards pranks while assuring the young woman discretion would be exercised.

With the distribution of some 33 tapes, how can you be assured, yourself, of discretion? Particularly as some students have access to instructor offices and quarters. I believe some instructors actually live with students as ‘roommates’.

The tapes will not work after being listened to by the appropriate person, nor can they be made to work once again. My work is thorough and I had Buffy's permission.

It is true that I fraternize with my students, but I do not give them unfair advantages, access to class materials, or anything else of the sort. I resent the implication that I would.

Angelus worries me moreso than he should. His influence with the other students, especially the more impressionable stradling the line students, is troublesome. I did not want him to spread rumors around that Buffy unjustly attacked him without her side of the story.

I implied nothing of the sort. I made mention that by your sending out the cassettes, there was no guarantee it wouldn't be taken by perhaps...an enterprising student, and the instructor or staffperson being none the wiser until...too late.

I would agree that both sides should be heard. That is what campus security is for and why the principal should be allowed to interview both parties without you now personally involved and skewing one side in Ms. Summers' favor.

That you taped the conversation was never my bone of contention, simply the reasonings behind why you saw fit to distribute to the faculty and staff...and not going straight to the principal with it.

And why you haven't encouraged Ms. Summers to do the same.

As for your proclamations that none of the staff will betray her confidence, that is a dangerous promise to make considering you can't control what others do.

Aurora listens to the tape, and then she listens to it again. Her mind is troubled by what she hears the young woman feeling. Obviously, even though Angelus is loving to torment her, the Slayer still has feelings for the one who was called Angel.

A love that deep never goes away and she fears that the Slayer will never move on while Angelus/Angel is around to torment her.

Aurora moves to the window and looks out into the darkness. Something must be done to protect these students. It is what Ashoka would do. While she knows that vampires feed on men, as well, her concern right now is for the females of the student body.

She moves to her phone and dials a number. After leaving voice mail with Sara Sidle, she hangs up and dials Padme's voicemail as well.
