"Morning!" Annie sang out (not literally.) Today, the Danger Shop had been made up to look like an actual theater, with a stage, curtains, sound system, lighting booth, and an actual audience auditorium full of plush red seats. Annie herself was sitting on the edge of the stage, dangling her feet. "The thing about performing arts is while the performer onstage might actually be the focus of the audience's attention, they're not doing all the work themselves. Not by a long shot. You've got tech people up in the booth," she said, pointing to a window up at the back of the auditorium, "you have stage hands in the wings feeding lines and helping with costume changes, you've got the orchestra down here in the pit -- " She waved an arm into the chasm in front of the stage, where her feet were dangling. "There's so much more going on than just whoever the audience is looking at."

She bounced up to her feet. "So, today, I want you to walk around the theater and try stuff. There's costumes backstage, with velcro in places you wouldn't expect for quick changes. The lighting and sound equipment is set up for you guys to be able to just hit switches and turn knobs and do stuff. You can climb down into the pit and bang on some timpani if you want." Annie wouldn't judge; she did that before you all got here. "And let me know if you have any questions, or if anything really sparks your interest!"
