BWI Airport Portalocity Lounge, Saturday Morning

No more than a few minutes ago, Five had been waiting in Dallas, Texas in 1963 to make sure Kennedy died. The fact that he was in the future/past wasn't actually that strange for him. Because his job. The fact that he was now physically a teenager again, however, really was strange. And annoying.

Mostly annoying.

He grabbed a newspaper--it was 2021 somehow??--and a coffee to take a seat where he could unobtrusively observe people. The fact that he was basically a kid in an ill-fitting suit and sitting near a glittery sign that proclaimed this the pick up spot for Fandom High was just a side-note.

Yeah, Five was just gonna squint at that thing. That thing happening right there. But he sure as hell wasn't gonna show how it was weird or anything.

That was reserved for basic human kindness and familial affection. As was the case for all the Hargreeves brood.

Five made a disgruntled noise because he couldn't fault that logic.

"Kids these days," he grumbled. God, he was such a grumpy, old man.

"I'm a little old to be one." Five. Five, please look in a mirror more closely.

Anakin blinked. "You're sure about that?"

Because you look 12, Five.

"I'm probably older than you," he said, sizing Anakin up for a moment. Which was probably adorable considering the barely teen thing.

"I doubt that," Anakin said, smirking. "I'm older than I look."

"What's your name?" Anakin asked, pulling up his roster. "Maybe you're a teacher."

That would be the best case scenario here!

"Number Five. Hargreeves." You know, in case that name was just too common.

Anakin looked down the list. "No, it says you're a freshman, Number Five."

Anakin'd met a Four and a FN-2187. Names were just weird in general.

"First year student," Anakin said, just driving that insult home.

"No." He would go back to the airport bar to steal anther drink, Anakin. Don't think he wouldn't.

"Fifty-eight," he ground out, very vividly picturing stabbing Anakin in the face for that.

Anakin pressed his lips together to control the very undignified giggle that threatened to escape. "My condolences. Maybe you can take it up with the moose in administration."

It would get you nowhere, Five. Sorry.

He would enter into a blood feud with the moose, Anakin. Don't think he wouldn't.

"You're enjoying this." Well, it was pretty hilarious.

Well, he was 58, but should be 32, but was currently 12-ish. So, it was all deeply confusing.

Five sighed heavily. "And just how old are you supposed to be?"

He'd also lost track with the dying and the clone body and the time switches and the general Fandom-ness of it all.
