Creative Weaponry; Monday, Second Period [11/02].
Despite plenty of rest and a good portion of her day at the clinic, Amaya was still feeling a little...well, drained, quite literally come Monday morning. So it was a good thing she already had something a little lighter planned for the next step in her class's unexpected journey through Loose Daventry with Improbably Objects.
They had made it out of the jungle, through some mountains, and into what seemed like a more temperate sort of pine forest. "Watch out for the chasms!" Amaya warned them, with a hitch of her thumb toward one such steep, deep chasm just to their right. "Avalon here is full of them. But there's also something else that Avalon is full of..."
Cue this week's challenge! Which may also seem quite a bit familiar to the students, as they were no doubt incredibly familiar with squirrels. And there certainly were a lot of them.
"Squirrels," Amaya offered helpfully. "Now, an Avalon squirrel has quite a lot in common with a Fandom squirrel, though they do differ in quite a few ways as well. They are, for one, generally much more aggressive about defending their territory and not letting people pass unless they're appeased...or defeated. And so today's class will be an interesting exploration in how to figure out which way to go...can we use what we find around us to make an appeasement for the squirrels so that we may pass? Or is battle the right way to go, with weapons the like of which we've been working on all semester, to fight our way through? The choice is yours. Have a look around, see what you can find and use, and let's see what we can do to get past the squirrels and continue our journey!"
