"Because seriously. Yes, entrails are fun. But they aren't efficient, he's clearly not good at his job, and maybe it's Stregobor who's been cursed and is eating the hearts of young girls and is trying to cover it up."

"Interestingly enough, one of the reasons other mages are skeptical of Stregobor's claims is that he always burns the bodies immediately after autopsy, claiming they might 'corrupt' others, so no one has ever had opportunity to independently verify his claims that these dread 'internal mutations' even exist." Yennefer personally had her suspicions involving Stregobor not knowing what endometriosis was.

"So it's quite a decent 'big picture' idea, and discrediting Stregobor will definitely help if word of the purpose of his visit gets out and causes people to raise questions about the princess. But it doesn't strengthen her or your position in the immediate future."
