Creative Weaponry; Monday, Second Period [09/21].
In continuing with the 'story' that had been building up through this class's quest through making interesting weapons with impractical items, the students would be starting their day in the tunnels where they left off, but they would be back on the topside soon...straight into a massive thunderstorm, with sheets of rain cascading down and lightning illuminating the thickly forested landscape.
Luckily for them all, there was a large and stately (albeit having seen much better days) mansion nearby, where surely they wouldn't wind up encountering anything that might cause them any trouble while they waited out the storm!
There were even nice, warm fires blazing in the mansion's many fireplaces, but, naturally, that simply means that they were clearly not alone, with thumps emerging from various other spots throughout the large manor, and Amaya grinned at the students.
"I think you all know what this means," she said. "If we're going to be staying here for the duration of the storm...or, well, the duration of the class, which will just so happen to conveniently match up with the duration of the storm, we'd better prepare and find what's making those noises before what's making those noises finds us! And whatever they are, I might have a sneaking suspicion that all these fireplaces'll come in handy, if you get what I mean..."
Amaya wasn't much of a winker, but, if she was, there would definitely be a nudging wink in the somewhere.
"Best not go alone, though," she said, "so partner or group up if you can before you go looking around to find something to defend yourselves with. There are plenty of fireplace tools to get you started, and they might even work well on their own, but see what else you might be able to find in this old place, because it's not called Creative Weaponry for nothing!"

...and it was hard to motivate herself to really go exploring when she could just stay put, close her eyes, and enjoying the sound of that rain pounding on the roof over their heads.
Not quite the sounds of the rain of Burmecia, but, after yesterday's ruminations about the weather, it was more than close enough.
Build your Weapons - Weaponry, 09/21.
Rooms of the mansion as you explore are completely moddable, as are basic things like wood and what have you, but our lovely RIG determines that these are the sorts of items you are likely to find on your search that may or may not be used for your weapons:
Lana: a pair of sunglasses, a set of headphones, a stack of Monopoly money
Freya: a bottle of expensive perfume, a flag with a cross on it, a whole ass chandelier
Julius: a pillow with the picture of a cat dressed as Cleopatra, a light bulb, a toy truck
Juillenne: a red and gold floral kimono, a camera, handmade lavender soap shaped like a heart
Shuri: a computer keyboard, a small wooden spoon, a colorful plastic pinwheel
Grog: a microphone, a large piece of driftwood, a large red balloon
Sabine: a decorative folding fan, decorative painted eggs, a miniature toy shopping cart
And don't forget that the fire could be a helpful, key element, too. Otherwise, why else would this abandoned mansion in the middle of the woods have so many fireplaces, anyway?

Or she could burn the money if the fire started dying down.

...wonder what that could be...?
Re: Test your Weapons - Weaponry, 09/21.
She twined her fake money through the tines on a fireplace fork thing, then set it on fire and brandished it.
