Yennefer was muttering to herself and jabbing at the Danger Shop remote when the students entered said Danger Shop for today's class. When she saw them, she said, "Ah! Hello! I am Yennefer of Vengerburg, and this is 'Guiding the Powerful Yet Incompetent,' and if you're wondering about my qualifications, I was an advisor to the king of Aedirn for...far longer than I should have been, really. For at least the beginning of the semester, we will be guiding...this." She tentatively pushed a button on the Danger Shop remote, and a person shimmered into existence. He was red-haired, corpulent, and holding a turkey leg. Whew. Success.

"No disrespect to whoever this is, because I'm sure that in life he was a perfectly fine ruler who only went through the usual number of wives," Yennefer said, because she did not, in fact, recognize Henry VIII, "but I asked the program to give me something between 'standard useless medieval king' and 'that orange thing someone put in charge of America' and this is what it spat out. But enough of that." She pushed another button, and Henry disappeared.

"Today I would like to get to know you." Well, not really, but she was led to believe it was traditional. "Please tell me your name, where you're from, what made you interested in my class, and anything else you think I really ought to know about you."

And there was Alexis, trying to get his attention with a mouthed, "Welcome back."

Another friendly face! Julius beamed at her and waved. Then turned a little sheepish and mouthed, 'Lizard?'

Alexis looked vaguely confused, and mouthed, 'No, Alexis.'

Julius also looked confused. Then pointed at himself.

See? He'd been the lizard!

...That would clear things up, right?

Ohhhhh. Her face registered that, and then she frowned, and pulled out a piece of paper to write a quick note to pass to him.

Bet you were a really cute lizard, tho!

Julius blushed, at least as much as his golden-brown complexion would allow and ducked his head.

I don't really know?

He nearly handed it back, but then took a moment to scribble something else down. But I'm glad you think so!

Alexis scribbled back.

I know so. She did not. We should catch up, now that you're you-shaped!

That would be great! Julius smiled again, seeming a touch...mystified.

People had missed him? Had noticed he wasn't around?

I hear there's some party on the beach on Friday. I was planning on going and wouldn't mind some company...

Oh sure! I'd love to keep you company. I've never been to a beach party before. Should I bring something?

She did draw a little smiley face ace a heart, too. Of course she did.

But, like...what about a fruit platter, Alexis?

I'll work on a brand new party smile, just for that.

And was giving her another one right now.
