Think On Your Feet, Tuesday 3rd Period

Aphra had told her class to meet her in the Danger Shop, which certainly wasn't a sign they should be worried or anything.

"So I'm looking at the only student with the sense to take this class." She didn't specify if it was good sense. "Which is all about learning to react to unexpected situations.

"But it's the first week, so introductions, name, class, and something else, oh, I know." The floor suddenly feel out from under them. "How you're going to get out of the pit. Feel free to make the last one a practical demonstration."

Introduce yourselves from the pit.

Although Astrid felt she really should have expected something like this, she let out a cry of surprise when the floor fell away, literally leaving them without the ability to think on their feet until they landed.

In a pit.

Which she, no, no, definitely did not have any repressed issues about after the whole caldera thing, no. But then she just had to take a breath and remind herself that this was just the danger shop, and remind herself of who else was in this class, which was oddly comforting because it took a lot of pressure off of her for pretty much anything, because it would be incredibly easy to just fade into the background against those personalities.

"I'm Astrid!" she then called up. "I'm a junior this year," which was a little wild, "and I'm from California, and I'm wondering if just waiting to see if anyone comes around to help is a valid option!"

That was what she usually did in these situations, after all.

"All options are valid." You do you, Astrid. "What are you going to do if that someone isn't actually friendly?"

"I'm Alexis, and first, this is Prada and I do not appreciate this," she said sternly. "Second, does anyone have anything we can use to make hand and footholds?"

"Good start," Aphra yelled down encouragingly, cheerfully ignoring the part about the Prada.

"WHY AM I IN A PIT?"

Tahani was taking this very not-well.

Because Aphra thought it was funny.

"Because you didn't think on your feet fast enough."

It's too late to transfer out of the class, sorry.
