BWI Airport Portalocity Lounge- Saturday morning
As much as Maeve didn't want to admit that she was nervous, she really was. This was big. It was a new school, a new country, a second chance that she really didn't want to screw up.
She seemed to be the first one here- at least the glittery sign told her she was in the right place, and she was a little annoyed by it on principle- so she found a seat, piled her bags around her, and pulled out a book to read while she waited.
While she looked pretty engrossed in it, anytime she saw someone pass by her eyes flicked up like she was expecting them to come sit nearby.

Re: Wait for the shuttle
"Dislocated both my shoulders and broke my leg trying to do a keg flip," he explained. "They're very hard to pull off. So I had to quit football," so, so sad and heartbreaking, "or else I might die."
It might be true, he didn't know! He wasn't about to risk it and find out!
Re: Wait for the shuttle
"You can't die from a broken leg," she said. "Unless it turns gangrenous."
Re: Wait for the shuttle
"You could probably die if you kept playing football on it, though," he speculated. "Anything's possible. Even if it's not...gang greenish."

Finishing with a very, very regretful and deep frown and a shake of his head.
"Anyway," he said, seemingly coming back and attention full on the girl again, "you sound foreign. Where you from?"
Re: Wait for the shuttle
probably," she said. "What about you?"
