The Gladiators would come into the Danger Shop that day to find a large foam pyramid at the center of the arena, so if anyone was wondering what they might be doing for this week's challenge, Rosa might let you skip wearing the helmet this week because there was clearly nothing up there that needed to be protected.

"Alright, Gladiators," she nodded once they all seemed settled, "this is the Pyramid. The goal is simple: get to the top. But, of course, it won't be that simple. The Chosen One. The Hammer. ~~Assuming you were there~~. Since the two of you had the highest points in the Atlasphere challenge last week, you have been selected to defend the top of the pyramid. Do whatever it takes to make sure the other gladitors don't reach the top. We'll be going in rounds in pairs of two; the first one to the top gets the chance to compete again for ultimate champion, which...might give you an advantage next week.

"Any questions? If not, let's gear up and get going. The Chosen One," was she ever going to say that name and not make a face at it? Probably not, "the Hammer, head on up and get ready to defend the territory; the rest of you, get limber, get stretched, and get ready."

If you have any questions, Rosa will definitely take them, but she might have a few questions of her own for you if you're having trouble with "climb the big foam mountain."

Also a good time to try to hype or psych each other out, which is a time honored tradition in any gladitorial enterprise, really.

Due to the uneven numbers, the Exterminator will join in this one, and the rounds will be heats determined by victors and eliminations. I'm going to kill you with OCD, please make the threads as messy as you need/want within each heat to acheive what has been dictated by the All-Powerful RNG! Gladiators, get your climb on. Justice makes it to the top first! The Axe is eliminated!

She had climbed up similar structures before, although not made of foam, but still she moved quickly, remembering how she had easily almost covered a small pyramid with her then many bodies, protecting her officers on the other side.

No reminiscing though. She got to the top quickly.

Grog... definitely didn't have a chance. There were some very embarrassing noises coming out of him as he tried to climb; sometimes those athletics rolls just did not go in your favor.

And Dragon's Bane beats Julius to the top, because the RNG thinks it's hilarious.

Was...was it cheating if Freya were to simply jump up to the top of the Pyramid? Because it wasn't even that high, compared to what Freya was used to jumping, but, somehow, it seemed to be incredibly against the whole spirit of the game if she were to simply leap over her competitor/roommate and those intended to impede her progress in one single, effortless leap...

So she decided she'd play nice and make two leaps, hopping easily to the far left corner of where she started, to land a few tiers up, and then preparing herself to make the second leap that would bring her to the top.

The Xelayan is victorious, making it to the top before ~~America's Ass~~ CAP.

Duke manages to make it to the top before Elli, thus Elli is elli-minated.

The final of the first rounds goes to Sabine, with Owen being eliminated!

Due to an ~~original error in my counting/RNG because i have not had enough coffee~~ uneven number of victors, Rosa's decided to pit the Final Five together in a swarm up the Pyramid. So good luck with that, the Chosen One and the Hammer! First one to the top wins it all!

And that would be Sabine! Followed by the Xelayan, Justice, Dragon's Bane, and Duke.

She should win this at some point. A lot of people here were stronger and fitter than the humans she was used to, even than ancillaries. Breq was catching her breath after getting to third to the top.

Who is mostly just kicking herself a little for forgetting that she vowed that the next time she did this, she was going to oil up the pyramid, too.

Damn.
