Continue Trying Not to Die, July 17, 2020

So Anakin had out of his house today that had mysteriously doubled in size and had about thirty new bookshelves that Rory, apparently, had been making all week. Anakin had decided to Just Not Ask.

"Right, I'm assuming that I'm not the only looking forward to not being on an island right now," he said dryly. "Unfortunately, Portalocity has insisted that is was an Only Island Travel Week, which I am very sure they just made up. Regardless, we're going to Sri Lanka. Try not to die."

Pick up a color badge in the gas station's office and then search along a line of parked tuk-tuks for 4 that had the same color marker on their windshields. Theyn you have to lead the tuk-tuks back to the gas station to fill up their tanks to 3 liters (0.79 US gal). Once all 4 tuk-tuks had full tanks, you were given the next clue.

At one point Eleanor found herself on a downward slope with her tuk-tuk and suddenly was going downward at a very accelerated rate. Ahead of her were was two small roads. One of them crowded with five people working on said road and in the other was a large dog sleeping in the road. Now she wasn't going that fast. So she wasn't going to kill anyone.

However.

She had a choice. Hit five people and injure them or hurt a dog. Now the five people had loved ones, family and possibly other people depending on them for income. On the other hand the dog was fluffy and pretty cute.

So she hit the five people sending them flying in her wake and hurling curses at Eleanor in Sinhalan or Tamil.

"Sorry! But the dog was cute!"

They at least gave chase for another block before giving up on her.

Okuyasu muscled his way through this, thankful it was mainly color matching and then pushing the tuktuks.

"Hahaha, ea-sy," he declared, once he'd found the last of his four. "Time to get pushing!"

He didn't have anything fancy to do, this was perfect for him.

Nell found this easier than she'd thought she might. It took next to no time to find the four with the same color and they were surprisingly easy to drive.

"Oh, I've done this before," Alexis said.

The leading slowed her down, though.

Beaker somehow managed to catch himself on fire at the petrol station, so the taxi guys loitering on the corner banned together to get his tuk-tuks filled just to get him away.

In Trunk, you work with an elephant to load a truck with timber. After chaining a special knot to the larger pieces of timber so the elephant could lift it, you and the elephant have to carry three logs to the truck. After giving your elephant palm leaves, the mahout will give you the next clue.

In Sheets, you make paper using an environmentally friendly and unique ingredient: elephant dung. After collecting dung in a wheelbarrow, you take it over to the paper mill where it is mixed with water and paper scraps to make pulp. You then put the pulp on screens, making sure to press out the bubbles, to make five sheets of paper. After you laid five pre-made sheets out to dry, the managing director would give you the next clue.

Don't ask Eleanor how she ended dealing with Elephant dung. Being tiny (but fierce) Eleanor spent most of her time trying to push a wheelbarrow full of Elephant shirt. And another part of her time trying to hide from five angry people she had run over in a tuk-tuk.

Okuyasu instantly went with not-touching-elephant-poop.

Okuyasu also discovered he was not good at tying knots. And was exceedingly good at disappearing sections of lumber with The Hand in frustration.

"...Well at least I didn't take out the elephant," he mumbled.

Elephants! Oh my heavens, elephants!! Nell was in heaven and spent entirely too long with the elephants and forgot entirely about the fact that she was supposed to be doing a task and collecting a clue.

Oh, yeah, Alexis was absolutely doing the first thing, even if she thought it might technically be offensive to Ellie. Her elephant didn't want to cooperate that well, but that was hardly her fault.

Well, he didn't catch fire at this one?

But that was about all that could be said for Beaker's performance here as he ended up on top of the elephant for much, much too long a period of time and got dropped off like a log in the truck at least four times.

After you finish up your elepahant-related tasks, you follow your clue to listen to a Sri Lankan man play traditional flute music and only after his performance would you be told where Anakin was.

And then you had to take a tuk-tuk to get there. Hopefully they don't pull the "oh noes, out of gas, please pay to fill it up!" scam on you before you get all the way.

They did pull the pay to fill up scam on Eleanor which was unfortunate because the five angry people she had run over was now on her trail.

And all Eleanor had was a pocketful of bells.

Needless to say when she appeared in front of Anakin, Eleanor jumped out of the tuk-tuk and started doing a fast walk to the portal.

"Did I win? No? Don't care. Leaving now! Byyyyyyyyeeee!"

Anakin might hear the angry voices coming after Eleanor.

Nell was already behind getting to the flute player - and oh my wasn't his music wonderful! Luckily she didn't have too much trouble in the tuk-tuk, so she ended up in the middle of the group.

Alexis' tuk-tuk actually ran out of gas.

Which was why she ended up having to run with her shoes in hand to find Anakin, now dead last. "What am I, fourth?"

Not anymore.
