Aphra had once again told her class to meet her in the park, though there was a lot less junk around, and several taped off areas instead.

"Hope you remembered to bring your laser swords today," she told them cheerfully. "Because if you didn't you're going to meditate over there while the rest of us have fun hitting each other with laser swords.

"Now, the Jedi developed a number of lightsaber forms, which either played to a given Jedi's strengths or were effective against different opponents, but mastery of them required years of training and that whole Force sensitivity thing so it's a real pity we don't have any Jedi Masters here today to demonstrate," Aphra continued, deliberately ignoring Anakin. "But the earliest form, Shii-Cho, had a lot in common with regular old swords so we can at least try out the basics."

"So find a partner and try not to cut anyone's arm off!"

She has her own laser sword out and is demonstrating the basic stances as she talks.

Much like last week, she's not completely terrible, even if the average Padawan would be able to point out where her form could be better.

Oh no, it was the form that Rey found completely boring to do.

But she also knew the steps by heart now so she found herself more critiquing Aphra's form, which was something she didn't expect.

If anyone wanted someone who'd done this a bunch of times before, there was Rey. Who felt a little weird doing this in class on Monday when she was used to doing this in a warehouse later in the week.

"Rey!" Summer called out, more like staking a claim than trying to get her attention, emphasized even mkre.when she gravitated to her and all but clung to her side. "I pick Rey!"

Look, when pretty much kinda your best friend on this island was actively training to be awesome at this kind of thing and you knew she was kind of awesome? You're gonna wannabe partner up with her.
