How to Make a Radchaai Entertainment; Friday, First Period [06/19].

"So," Seivarden said. "Today we put all that we've done together and turn it into an entertainment. We have Tahani as the hero, Wayne as her love. Tisarwat will play the Lord of the Radch who shows up to support them, and I will play the enemy, a leader on the planet that's turning against the civilized world. Amaya will play my weapons expert."

She looked at the students. "We only have time to rehearse each scene a few times before shooting, so make sure to know your lines and have all the props ready."

"And I have plenty of spare props on hand, too," said Amaya, "should anything happen to the others."

Which was her way of oh-so-subtly encouraging the students to just go hog wild with the special effects they worked on last week without actually saying so.

Seivarden was looking forward to this. She might not have a lot of faith in the students, apart for Tisarwat, but still.

Tisarwat was definitely there if needed in a TA capacity, even if she had sort of been dreading this aspect of the class. Sure, she could have told Amaya that having her play the Lord of the Radch was a terrible idea, but she didn't, so she was stuck with it. Even though she could probabl get away with doing a half-assed job and no one would be much wiser on the matter, not even Seivarden.

She was just going to focus on the fact that she was going to a big space party later, and that definitely helped.
