Mathematics: All Classes: Wednesday 4.5.06 Period 1

Broots stood in front of the classroom, half asleep.

"Okay guys, pretty easy class today. Since last week there was trouble with them, beginners will be going over factors and the divisibility rules. There's two worksheets for you guys to work on.

Intermediate, you will have a small project due the day of your final. Chat amongst yourselves and bother me for ideas on what you can do. The sky is pretty much the limit as long as you involve math in your project somehow.

Have at it, and try not copy the teacher and fall asleep while standing."

[ooc: Mun is exhausted, so interaction with Broots will be low. Sorry for the lateness.]

Angela signed in and took coffee and a sliver of apple pie.

Walter signs in and takes pie and coffee. Mmm, pie.

"Oh! Pie!"

Pie and coffee and Pippi signs in.

Pip sign in and of course has some pie. What kind of person doesn't like pie?

Kiki signs in.

Mmmm, pie!

Molly signed in.

Victor signed in.

john signs in and steals breakfast

Cameron signs in.

Two worksheets, about twenty problems each on the two topics.

Pippi spends the whole class working on the work-sheets while chewing on her bottom lip.

Pip worked on the problems all class. When he wasn't distracted by pie, that is.

Pen in her right hand, pie fork in the left, Kiki works the problems carefully.

Molly spends the class period working on the worksheets.

Victor alternated between feeding his brain and feeding his face.

Cameron spends the entire period working on his problems. When his brain refuses to cooperate any longer, he takes a small doodling break.

Any ideas for projects?

Somehow, Angela was not feeling idea-ish. She stared into space and waited to see if anybody else would think of anything.

Walter wasn't feeling especially idea-ish, but he'd seen something Victor had been playing with on his computer.

"Do you know anything about fractals? (http://www.coolmath.com/fractals/fractals_lesson.html)" he asked his fellow intermediate.

Angela held up a hand, in a "maybe" gesture. "Kind of? I think we did them in geometry last year."

John sat, thinking. He looked puzzled. Then sleepy. Then snore-y.

Wake up the dozing 'teacher' if you wish.

Angela stood before Broots and wished she had the guts to snap her fingers like Parker. "Broots. BROOTS. Wake up?"

Broots snored at her, and then his head snapped up. "I'm not sleeping!"

"Of course not," Angela said. Actually, a nap sounded like a good idea...

"I just wanted to see if I had missed anything by not being in class last week. I had to go home. Family emergency."

"Um..." Broots yawned and hit a few keys on his laptop. "Okay, you missed two sets of problems, if you want to make them up by next Friday, that's fine. Everything all right?"

"I'll get those in," Angela promised. "And ... it's kind of still not fine, but it will be fine soon. I hope. Does that make sense?"

Broots considered this. "Yeah, it kind of does. Well, hope everything turns out well."

"Thanks," Angela said, before leaving the classroom.

Sleep, how I miss you. Two more days and we will meet again!
