"Good morning, everyone," Anakin said with a smile. "Today we're going to Europe--Portugal, which is on the western coast of the continent. There are a saner drivers, but more hills, so I'd stretch out your calf muscles before going through the portal."

He clapped his hands together. "As always, try not to die!"

In Tiles, you travel to the Fábrica Sant'Anna, tile factory where you need to put together a life-size puzzle made out of tiles (that made this castle. The picture will give you your next clue. In Miles, you use a giant-sized compass to map out the distance traveled by Ferdinand Magellan on his famed voyage using the large compass rose at Padrão dos Descobrimentos. You need to connect Seville, the Canary Islands, the Cape Verde Islands, Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Solis, the Strait of Magellan, Puka-Puka, San Pablo Island, the Mariana Islands, and the Philippines (18,500 nautical miles) and tell the correct answer to the the guy in the Magellan costume and kinda hating his life. This one, spoiler alert, will take freaking forever.

Duke had actually sailed around the world (though not in a single trip), so he was maybe a little overconfident going into the Magellan challenge.

Or . . . maybe a lot overconfident.

He may have finally given up on the giant compass and offered the Magellan dude a bribe before finally managing to get his clue.

Beaker decided to make the puzzle out of tiles...and after cracking three of them, they just waved him ahead with the picture about two-thirds completed in the hopes that someone else would be able to use this ever, ever again.

Growing up in a fishing village as she had, Jules was a passable navigator- even so, it wasn't her vocation and this world was unfamiliar, so the puzzle it was. A wise choice, as she actually managed to finish it fairly quickly.

Miles did indeed take forever. And of course, none of these places were ones that the elders felt girls had any need to know about so she hadn't even heard of most of them.

Alara decided that the tiles option would be the better one to tackle since she didn't know enough about Earth history or geography, so she was able to quickly finish the task and get the next clue she needed.

Well, the arrows. After you figure out how to take a train to Sintra from Lisbon, you get to Pena Palace and put on armor (sorry, Beaker. This is not sized for you.) You then use a ballista to shoot an arrow through a shield 150 feet (46m) away. The clue to where Anakin is hiding is located on the back of the shield.

Giant armaments weren’t really in Duke’s skill set, butt here was no one to bribe here, so he was stuck trying to give it an honest go anyway.

“How the fuck does anyone aim this thing?”

Right, so Beaker sucked at this so. hard.. He couldn't see anything, he ended up launching himself out of the ballista a dozen times...it was bad.

This really shouldn't have taken as much time as it had, and Jules found herself hoping that she hadn't lost too much time. Ugh, some war-gifted she was.

Nell slid into the armor pretty easily, then grinned at the ballista. Her brothers had gone through a phase of trying to make models of all sorts of ancient weaponry and she'd been happy to take a try or two. It was always good for women to know how to defend themselves should the government come in to try and take over.

In any case, her arrow hit the shield easily.

Alara actually didn't have much difficulty with this task at all and once she got used to wearing the armor, she was able to get the arrow to hit the shield rather quickly.

Anakin is in a different castle ~~like a true princess~~, and that castle is located past several tempting and distracting pastry shops.

Just saying that's why he's eaten at least three pasteis de nata before the first person arrives. He might even share.

Might.

Maybe.

...probably not.

Duke managed to avoid the pastry shop distraction by promising himself a trip to the Perk the moment they got back to Fandom, and managed to make up a surprising amount of time by the time he got to Anakin.

“You’re certifiable. You know that, right?”

Anakin grinned. "It's possible," he agreed.

Beaker, against all known physics, somehow managed to come in fourth while still stuffed into his knight costume.

"Meep meep!" he announced triumphantly.

Pastry shops were distracting... but for some reason none of the shops were interested in serving someone who was accompanied by a very large wild animal. Oh well, at least Fandom had a pastry shop where none of the staff so much as blinked at Camden's presence. And it meant Jules didn't end up getting waylaid!

Oooh! Nell stopped in and asked about the making of a few of the pastries, using hand gestures to communicate, before she remembered she was supposed to be trying to get to the castle quickly.

Still, she had some pretty good ideas for pastries to try and make.

Alara found Earth cuisine quite fascinating and got rather distracted looking at the different pastry shops.

She ended up completely misjudging how much time she had before remembering that she still had to finish the challenge and it took her way longer than what it should have to finish.

Now I want to go back to Lisbon.
