"So," Kennedy began without preamble as soon as everyone seemed to be assembled in the classroom. "Here's a hypothetical for you, and I want you to think about this one because all of you are probably going to have unique answers. How are you going to handle it when people you know, who have no clue about your sneaktastic other job, have opinions about your work and like to tell you about them? What are you gonna do? Play along, or try to defend yourself without making it obvious that you're the person they have opinions about?" She hopped down off the desk at the front of the classroom and began to walk back and forth, her hands clasped behind her back.

"That's going to be our scenario for today," she went on. "Take a few minutes to think about how you'd approach this situation, and then pair off to work on this: one of you is the secret superhero type, and the other just wants to tell their partner about all the wild and sometimes way off base things they've heard about this mysterious hero type person. Maybe they think you're responsible for a situation that you were actually trying to fix. Anyway, go and try to make awkward small talk."
