Blood Stain Removal (And Other Practical etc.), Thursday, Period 1 (1/9)

There was an array of snacks and beverages up front of the classroom today, and Kennedy just sitting on the desk, waiting for the class to arrive.

"Hey, everybody," she said easily once it looked like everyone was here. "First week of the semester, right after the regularly-scheduled seasonal crisis, so we're definitely going to have a chill day today. A predictable chill day, because guess what, it's introductions time. But first? Let's get a couple of house rules established."

She hopped down off the desk and paced back and forth, her arms crossed and her expression gone from cordial to stern.

"So. This whole class is based on the assumption that your whole secret vigilante life deal is hypothetical, and you're invited to create a persona and a backstory to use all semester. That said? This is Fandom, and I'm also not gonna assume that this is an imaginary exercise for all of you. If the not-so-hypothetical is your thing, and if you're comfortable enough sharing it with the class, that's cool. But unless your classmates specifically tell you it's okay, that information does not go outside the classroom, are we clear?"

It was probably not hard to see how Kennedy had gotten her drill-sergeant reputation back in the Sunnydale days.

"So now, on to the predictable: introductions. Name, why you're taking this class if you're comfortable sharing that, and an optional fact about yourself." She paused for a moment, then continued, "Also, snacks, because it's been that kind of week."

"I'm Shuri," Shuri said with a little wave, "and I provide support to our national protector, whose identity is a closely guarded secret. So learning how to get blood out of costumes and so on is a very practical concern of mine."

She paused. "As is making a costume that would prevent the bleeding in the first place."
