Evie was not hiding in the library, of course she wasn't. She was just making sure all of the books were exactly straight and perfect on the shelves.
Of course she was.
She had no reason to hide. It was highly unlikely anyone from home would arrive here. None of her previous messages had been answered when she had tried to get Mal or Jay or Carlos to find a way to get to her.
If they hadn't responded then there was no reason to believe that anyone could escape the Isle to come here to bother her, right?
She was in the Library and was there to help.
From over there, out of sight of the main doors.
