Physical Education, Thursday, Per 2
The class today was meeting in the Danger Shop because⦠because programming an obstacle course had seemed like a far simpler option than actually building one.
'Seemed' being the operative word, as the teachers were bound to find out pretty soon.
"Good morning," Liam said, looking out at the assembled students. "And welcome to Physical Education!" Was that too obnoxiously cheerful for a class that was ostensibly about exercise? Liam didn't care; he was still pretty giddy over the whole newly-engaged thing. "It's the first week, so tradition dictates that we start with introductions before we go on to anything else. I'm Liam Kincaid," for now, anyway. "I'm also the sheriff in town, which most days involves keeping the Troopers from causing trouble out of boredom."
"And I'm Verity Price," Verity said, casually leaning against Liam. Look, it hadn't even been twenty-four hours yet; the shiny hadn't worn off yet "The day manager at the bar none of you are allowed in. I'm also a tango dancer and a cryptozoologist, all of which require a surprising amount of exercise and muscle control." And a ridiculous amount of weapons, but she wasn't going to mention that.
"All right," Liam said. "Now let's hear from you," he pointed to a student at random. "Name, what year you're in, and what you hope to get out of this class. Then we'll get on to the good stuff."
"If you're not hoping for anything specific out of class, we'll take your favorite kind of physical activity," Verity added. "That's safe for class."
There were just some things your teachers didn't need to know about you lot.

Name, class, what you wanna get out of this class or favorite activity
"Obstacle Course"
It was gonna be so cool, everyone.
The Bodega
Which was nothing compared to the surprise when, in the midst of wandering, people start getting sucked into various snacks on the shelves.
The Hits Start Coming and They Don't Stop Coming...
Until today.
When that bell dings, throw yourself off the ropes and see how far you get bouncing on panicking gummy bears!
Try not to get stopped by the cops!
[Hitting the ground is like landing on very thick gym mats and crashing into things does not hurt. Bouncing off gummies almost certainly feels as weird as you think it does. Feel free to end up in a tag-team or in the same arena if you want interaction!]

Re: Talk to Your Teachers
That wasn't Verity's first question. It wasn't even the most important.
And yet she couldn't help but ask.

Oh! Unless they'd be heading back to the stock room and liftin' heavy boxes or something like that. That'd be right along with chorin', that wouldn't be so bad, if they were to head on back to the stock room...
But of course they weren't fucking doing that. Of course they were fucking getting sucked into snack packs. Because why the fuck not?

Which meant he wasn't really making a lot of progress, but he was sure getting some good punches in.
Even if it did feel a bit weird.
Re: The Bodega
On the other hand, being stuck inside a bag of Cheetos was... okay, it was pretty tasty, he wasn't going to complain right away.

Re: Introductions
Which would probably be its own kind of hell, because it was high school dodgeball, but it was an expected kind of hell.

Re: Introductions
Look, it was just nice to have non-humans in class. Spending time surrounded only by humans made Verity a little twitchy.
"What kind of weapons do you prefer?" she asked. "Or are you more of a brawler?"
