Fandom Gladiators Part DEUX! - First Period, Friday, 08/23.

"You know," said Rosa, addressing her students and fellow teachers once it was time to begin class, tilting her head thoughtfully, introspectively, "after a week like last week, sometimes, the best thing to do is just take some time, reflect, relax, maybe meditate a little and look into ourselves to find some sort of inner peace and tranquility..."

She let that hang for about two seconds.

"Ha. Just kidding. We're hitting each other with giant sticks. Let's go."

You know what? Maybe this would be cathartic, because Keyleth was still beating herself up about how she was convinced it was mostly her fault they'd all gotten captured. Maybe it would help to --

Beat up on the guy whose hands had gotten snapped off last week because they'd gotten captured, which was kind of her fault, and wasn't he a friend of Beau's, too?

She looked a lot less like she was ready to let out some pent-up guilt in a kind-of healthy way, and a lot more apologetic.

"Hey," Liam said, catching that look. "It's cool. It's just a game."

"Just a game, right," Keyleth echoed, a little nervously. (Not that kind of 'fun.' Not that kind. She was just going to keep telling herself that.) "It's good for us to vent a little bit, right? Healthy and everything?"

See, if you didn't vent this stuff every now and then, this was why you were going to end up temporary orange marmalade at the bottom of a cliff, Keyleth.
