Standing at the front of the classroom today, a big plastic smile on his face, was a toy. One of those plastic figurines meant to plug into a gaming system, complete with stylish 'starship floor' plastic base and one of those little chip-reader deals underfoot. His lightsaber was forever ignited in his right hand, which was maybe the teensiest bit awkward, but what could you do when that was the way you were built? At least in the video game, it wasn't quite stuck like that. But Kanan Jarrus had a class to teach, and he was going to do it with a grin!

"Happy morning, class! Today, we had a little bit of unfortunate news, didn't we? Our own Dean, a bad toy? Fortunately, that whole thing is behind us now, and hopefully it will serve as a reminder about just how important it is to stay happy and healthy and educational, and so that's what we're going to discuss today! How to stay happy, even on the sad days!" There was a pause, and he smiled that plastic smile. "Me, I like to play with my dog! What could possibly be happier than playing with a good, good boy? And that's why I brought him with me to class today!"

It took a bit of doing, a sort of clunking walk that was reminiscent of the one that the army men troopers had down pat, but Kanan made his way to the classroom door and opened it to let a rainbow plush dog come bounding in. Stance barked, and then made his merry way around the classroom.

"It's hard to be anything but happy when there's a happy dog around!"

Big smile. Big smile. Linger in the doorway.

Big. Smile.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Make like good toys and play!"

Because who can resist playing with a good, good toy, right?

Especially one as happy to see you as Stance is!

The fact that Sabine had no visible mouth didn't mean she didn't look happy! Because somehow, she sincerely did. It was impossible not to be when you had a plush rainbow dog to play with!

If the transition from a whole week of not existing to a week of being made of yarn and stuffing was even a little jarring for Sidon, he certainly showed no sign of it, eager and excited for his class, which included playing with a puppy! Marvelous! He had to laugh and was eager for a chance to pet the adorable little fellow. There was, after all, just one dog, and many students, and so he would be good and wait his turn, because it was important to share and polite to let others go before him. As he waited for his turn, he was thinking about the topic of what made him happy so that he could contribute to the class, as well.

Obviously, the thing that made him most happy was swimming, but, as he was made of yarn and stuffing, swimming was actually not a very good thing for him to do, it made him terribly soggy, and that was hardly acceptable for a good toy to go and be soggy.

Thankfully, there were plenty of other things to contribute, too!

"I find myself happy when surrounded by my friends!" Sidon offered brightly, with a pump of his yarn fist. "What could possibly be more wonderful than friendship??"

And the funny thing was, that was exactly what he'd have said even if he wasn't all up in here being brainwashed.

He's so happy to be here!

About halfway through the class, for a brief flicker of a moment, his smile wavers and his eyes go a little wide. But then? Then he's right back to being happy to be here!

Sabine was definitely here, and definitely happy. Sure, it was a wonder that she could walk around with an adorable head ten times the size of her body, but what was there not to love about things here?

Look, I was SPOILED FOR CHOICE for what Kanan would be, and the car was a STRONG CONTENDER, as was the Black Series Kanan figure, but Disney Infinity Kanan had to win. Had to. I love this sculpt so much.

... Though now that I'm posting this I'm regretting not turning him into Club Penguin Kanan. Oh no.
