Wilderness Adventures (Now With More Indoor Things) - 2nd Period, Tuesday

The danger shop was done up to be a replication of a city that wasn't New York for a change! Instead it was Chicago.

Specifically it was along Michigan Ave at Millennium Park. Because The Bean was super photogenic.

"Today we'll be discussing how to handle tourists in their native environment," Tony said, carefully dodging out of the way a huge group of them.

"There are usually pretty easy to spot," Steve added. "They tend to move in herds, sometimes led by a person with an umbrella. They are never paying attention."

"Cameras at the ready," Tony added. "That's not to say they're bad people or anything. They're just..."

"Distracted," Steve said. Judgmentally. "It's also why a lot of them have their wallets stolen. Which we are not teaching you to do."

Because he's met some of you, Fandom.

"But if you live in a major city, hordes of tourists are impossible to avoid if you're trying to go some place popular. They hang out in giant groups in front of Avengers Tower in my New York trying to get a glimpse of Thor and Tony."

Tony shrugged like what could you do. "So, your mission today will be to make it through the city to get lunch, dodging Segways and people in non-ironic fanny packs."

Prompto had to chuckle a little bit at this one. There were reasons he used to have to avoid certain streets and areas during his jogs around the city back home. And then he realized his version of tourist control was likely going to be very different once he got back, too, since he was, you know, going to be one of the prince's bodyguards and everything.

Happy siiiiigh~~

Anyway! Look. Prompto actually hadn't been to Chicago yet, on all of his random hopping around this world through his various classes, and so his solution to finding lunch? If you can't beat 'em, join 'em! He fit right in with his camera on the ready, too, and the food that they were going to go get was probably really like terrible and what locals would roll their eyes about and he was so, so all about eating that kind of food, sign him up, where could he get one of those sweet pouches that just went around the waist like that??

Steve was trying to respect other people's choices, but there was something Seriously Wrong with this hot dog.

He took a picture of himself with it and sent it to Hardison. "I can't even see the hot dog under all of this stuff!"

Norman was a small town kid. Sure, he was a small town kid from a town that acted like its big kitschy witch obsession was some kind of great tourist attraction, but if Blithe Hollow ever actually saw tourists looking to learn all about the one so-called witch they'd hanged three centuries ago, Norman sure had never seen them.

Now, trying to find his way to... anything that might result in food, he was seriously grateful for that.

He was going to get trampled to death just trying to reach a food truck, wasn't he?

This is especially funny as someone who went to Chicago with their Iowa-native boyfriend and dragged him to the Bean--which yes, he found very impressive. :D
