Fandom Gladiators Part DEUX! - First Period, Friday, 07/26.
The class was still being held in the Danger Shop, and it would still be a baseless competition between a bunch of kids and a handful of adults who should probably know better, but that was about the only thing that was the same with the typical Fandom Gladiators class that Friday, right down to the arena and the woman in charge of the whole thing.
There was still an arena, there was that, at least, but instead of the cheap futuristic day-glo vision that usually greeted them, the class would find themselves in a collusium much more historical, which meant that actual gladiator Rosdias, in all her scantily-armored glory, felt right at home.
"Gladiators!" she greeted the assembled warriors with a booming voice, leaning on a spear. "Prepare yourselves! For this morning we engage in the ultimate battle! Veterans versus novices...versus beasts! Release the lions!"
And that was apparently all the preparation they were going to get before the gates were lifted and the lions charged out, though they were likely not about to be discriminate or biased toward whether they were on the teachers' side or the students'.
Good luck!

Battle Royale! - Gladiators, 07/26.
Don't worry; the lions won't actually eat you, because danger shop. Also, there's the other team to worry about; Rosdias is just as likely to take the students down at the lions, and she trust her fellow
teachersveterans will do the same. These novices have to learn somehow! The students actually win this one this time, and the last student standing is Shuri.
Or whoever Shuri might think she is at this particular point in time.
Meanwhile, have at it, make it messy, make it gory, make it so that you're conveniently rifted out at just the right time.
Re: Battle Royale! - Gladiators, 07/26.
She wasn't quite as certain about the teachers, though. Her eyes went wide as the cats started to prowl, and she picked up a... a thingy with a handle and a spiked ball at the end, which she managed to get an okay swing at one of the cats with her mace before another one came at her from behind, earning a string of profanity in Ryl as she gave up on fighting and just started to run.
Why was she in this class?!
Re: Battle Royale! - Gladiators, 07/26.
And so he rushed forward as Ce'na started to run and the lion was in quick pursuit, lunging in at just the right moment to crash into the beast, tackling it and rolling with it to impede its path.
Sure, he had a sword, but why use that when he clearly outmatched the lion in sheer size alone?
Re: Battle Royale! - Gladiators, 07/26.
And that had Ce'na stop in her run, pausing to turn to see what the crashing was about back there and blinking, wide-eyed.
"Sidon!"
... That was about as useful as she was going to be in this encounter, calling out to him in her heavily
FrenchRyl-accented Basic, clutching her... spiky ball thing to her breast. Yes, life was difficult on Ryloth, but a warrior, she was not.Re: Battle Royale! - Gladiators, 07/26.
And then he remembered his sword and stabbed into what he figured was the lion's heart, and the lion faded and disappeared.
"Ah-ha!" he realized, pushing himself up and giving a victorious pump of his fist. "They'll vanish when vanquished! Marvelous! That will help significantly in the inevitable build-up of the bodies of fallen foes!"
He turned to see if another lion or one of the teachers hadn't taken his distraction as an opportunity to attack Ce'na again. "Are you alright?" he asked. "Look lively out there! They're a rambunctious bunch!"
And it was delightful! Pity it was the danger shop, though, and that no one would really get hurt, so that he wouldn't get a chance to show off the healing magic that he so totally had right now.
Re: Battle Royale! - Gladiators, 07/26.
"I am fine, thank you," Ce'na called back, ducking her head and laughing a little. "No big, mean cats have managed to get to me so far." And a winning smile before she added, "Thanks to you, of course."
Her hero.
(Her mother would be so scandalized to know she was flirting with somebody who wasn't even a Twi'lek!)
Re: Battle Royale! - Gladiators, 07/26.
But he naturally flashed her a winning smile back. "Think nothing of it!" he declared. "It is my pleasure! We must have each other's backs if we're to win this thing, after all!"
Re: Battle Royale! - Gladiators, 07/26.
"Of course," Ce'na agreed, and then gasped and dropped her mace. "Behind you!"
Another lion! Say it ain't so!
Re: Battle Royale! - Gladiators, 07/26.
"Fantastic!" he said. "What a marvelous challenge this will be! Be ready to meet your maker, vile beasts, for you face none other than Sidon," he pumped his fist, showing a flash of sharp teeth that caught just right in the sunlight pouring in over the arena, "the Zora Prince, Hylian Champion of the Divine Beast Vah Ruta! I shall defeat you all, just as I shall one day defeat the evil Calamity Ganon alongside my other brave Champions!"
Because what was a battle without a nice, rousing, expositionary speech before hand to go along with it? But he'd been training fiercely with the other Champions, and with Link and the Princess Zelda, before clearly being sent here for more training before they finally turned the Divine Beasts against the Calamity, so he figured this would truly be no difficult task at all!
Re: Battle Royale! - Gladiators, 07/26.
... Caleb Dume, Jedi Knight, however, was the one who wound up giving the lions a dubious glance as they were unleashed. He gave his head a shake, straightened his robes, reached for, perhaps predictably, one of the swords - he'd prefer his lightsaber, but the swords were really more in the spirit of the exercise - and took a defensive stance, both to guard himself from the onslaught of the felines and to protect students and other teachers alike.
Look, he wasn't in it to win it, guys. But feel free to hide behind him if you needed to.
Re: Battle Royale! - Gladiators, 07/26.
"Oh, zards," she said, considering the wrench still in her hand and figuring she could at least get in a good thunk between the eyes of any lion who managed to get to her before she got a chance to get to her feet.
And then she'd figure out what exactly was going on around here.

definitely diddidn't squeak as he ran away from the lions. "I hated Geonosis!"Re: Battle Royale! - Gladiators, 07/26.
He sucked at responsible! Not to mention fighting. Unless he could alter these lion's DNA on the fly...yeah, no. He was running. He was a sheltered scientist, not a brawler!
