Adaptability And You, Monday, 2nd Period
Right, so there was no creeping horror outside. That was a good thing! Hell, if Kanan was the singing sort, he'd be singing the praises of this new and improved situation from the rooftops! Honest.
... This week might come and go without him even realizing what the strangeness was.
"So it's a safe one this week, folks," he shared, having sent the students directions to a particular spot on the beach. There was no way in hell he wasn't taking advantage of it being safe to do so, no. He'd brought bottled water and fruits and there appeared to be a net set up in the sand. "Which means today we're going to work on movement in difficult terrain. And hand-eye coordination."
Sure, Kanan.
"Grab a ball and a partner, stand on opposite sides of the net, and hit that thing back and forth. Don't let it touch the sand if you can help it. Don't fall if you can help it. And, because this is Fandom, if you have any abilities or tools at your disposal that might make this exercise easier for you, please feel free to give them a try. Just communicate what you're about to do to your partner if it's something potentially dangerous."
Yes, class, today was beach volleyball day: Powers on.

Re: Talk to the TA!
Was there a possibility of getting eaten by a dog here.
Re: Talk to the TA!
"It'll be fine," he said, noting that wariness. "I've got a way with animals, he knows where the line is drawn. And if that doesn't put your mind at ease, we can set you up in the Ghost for a bit or give Stance free run of the junkyard, you don't need to be anywhere near him.
Re: Talk to the TA!
She hopped forward and chirped a little complaint. Just about this whole thing. Ugh.
Re: Talk to the TA!
"Yeah, I know," Kanan replied, smiling sympathetically. "Been there, done that."
He hefted the bag of clothes and armor up onto his shoulder.
"Come to that, we can probably set you up with a room on the Ghost until this wears off. That way you've at least got some privacy for doing..." He waved a hand. "Bird stuff."
Her room. It would just become her room.
Re: Talk to the TA!
And really, a bunch of her stuff was already there, so she could keep an eye on it...
She bobbed her little birdie head in a nod.
Re: Talk to the TA!
"Alright, then," Kanan replied, smiling crookedly. "I'll send Hera a message and make sure there's space for you by the time class ends, and we'll take it from there."
A beat.
"And figure out what it is you eat, and all of that."
Re: Talk to the TA!
Also she couldn't "drag" as much as she'd have to "herd by being really annoying."
Re: Talk to the TA!
Fortunately, it wasn't terribly difficult to herd Kanan, when he was amenable to being herded.
"Right, we'll figure it out," he decided. Which... was almost the same thing as agreeing to go shopping?
Yeah, she'd have to get those herding skills up. But for what it was worth, he already had half a mind to get her a pad of paper and some finger paints?
Re: Talk to the TA!
She chirped her agreement and flew up to land on his shoulder, since apparently he was stuck with her now.
Re: Talk to the TA!
And would be, for more or less the rest of his life.
He seemed fine with this arrangement.
"In the meantime, let's see how many of your classmates eat sand before this period is through," Kanan mused, looking faintly dubiously toward the net.
Hey, at least she wasn't a bird for a 'shooting things' class, right?
