Right, so there was no creeping horror outside. That was a good thing! Hell, if Kanan was the singing sort, he'd be singing the praises of this new and improved situation from the rooftops! Honest.

... This week might come and go without him even realizing what the strangeness was.

"So it's a safe one this week, folks," he shared, having sent the students directions to a particular spot on the beach. There was no way in hell he wasn't taking advantage of it being safe to do so, no. He'd brought bottled water and fruits and there appeared to be a net set up in the sand. "Which means today we're going to work on movement in difficult terrain. And hand-eye coordination."

Sure, Kanan.

"Grab a ball and a partner, stand on opposite sides of the net, and hit that thing back and forth. Don't let it touch the sand if you can help it. Don't fall if you can help it. And, because this is Fandom, if you have any abilities or tools at your disposal that might make this exercise easier for you, please feel free to give them a try. Just communicate what you're about to do to your partner if it's something potentially dangerous."

Yes, class, today was beach volleyball day: Powers on.

Enjoy the beach, take some water, eat some fruit - yes, Sidon, you're welcome to go grab yourself a fish - and then contemplate today's exercise!

Look, it was either this, or stocking up on emergency supplies while the getting was good, and Force only knew if they'd still be here next week.

Kanan was not thinking about what he'd teach next week if this really was the end of it, thank you.

Sidon had gotten so used to making do with meager snack options for these classes that he didn't even think to take advantage of their proximity to the water to go and snag himself something a little more appropriate for his diet, really. After all, he could manage to stomach a little bit of fruit now and then and the class was about adaptability, was it not? So he seemed content enough in nibbling on a strawberry or two while contemplating the game and how it really could be rather fun to move it into the water, but he would appreciate the challenge of it on sand.

He was still pretty good in sand, though, he felt, and wondered if, should he happen to dive for the ball on occassion (which he would most definitely do), if that still was considered falling. Or merely, simply...just showing off.

She was too small! And cute! And what if a ball killed her?

She was maybe, though, like, going to blissfully curl up on a particularly sunny rock for a bit though.
